Hey Jake... glad to continue the conversation (we started on the day of, on Fasti's Discord). CC's don't work for Moonton, so you can communicate what you want so long as it is not a true exploit. This was Moonton's brain fart, full stop, so I think you did what you thought best at the time. Of course you want to keep a good relation with the company, so you probably should do what is directly requested of you, but we viewers appreciate you folks precisely because you give your unvarnished opinions and suggestions. Oh and btw, big thank you for those Faction Trial videos you did in January... they are great and helped me a lot!

The thing is, at the end of the day it didn't help people at all. Sure they are getting freebies in advance (for those that spend the W-Gold) compare to the rest of the player base but in the end they all lost something like 3.5k crystals (which is like 40 blue and on top of that moonton still took away the free summons). The rest of the playerbase will just get it for free in due time.

They should test new content first before it’s released it’s not our fault they messed it up. All games have bugs and exploits and all gamers take advantage of bugs and exploits in ALL GAMES they play it’s part of the gaming experience

No you don't work for Moonton, they are basically asking to censor your content and the CC program is not worth giving them control over what you publish. In Raid there is a known bug where stage 10 of the spider boss drops a higher rank gear at a higher drop rate than it's supposed to and it's a known bug and we all exploit it when it benefits us and they are not interested in fixing it (until they do). Also once in Raid they released a brand new boss but forgot to code in some of the immunities to certain skills that all bosses in the game have so someone noticed you can use a particular champ to hp swap with the boss and take it down to 1 hp then kill it real fast. It was patched in a few hours but those of us that were on were able to farm it a ton in a short period of time. Same thing (in Raid) with the infinite taunt loop, a new buff came out, taunt, that appeared to be worse than provoke debuff in all cases but eventually we discovered we could reset that skill and make it 100% uptime to negate one of the main mechanics of the Second Clan Boss, Hydra. Raid said, "it's working as intended" then several months later said "na you are exploiting the mechanics of the boss" and took it away. In each case no punishment, no rollbacks of all the gear/resources we farmed using it, and no bans. The only downside was any resources we spent building the teams for these exploits. Raid is my only other Mobile Gatcha reference so I'm not sure how other companies handle it but in general Raid/Plarium are really bad on the PR side of things and they would never have done what Moonton did in this case. This was an overreaction by Moonton and a particularly egregious error on their part, but they could have turned it around by just releasing that program and letting the rest of us start the 3 month grind towards the same rewards others got instantly. You are in NO WAY TO BLAME for what transpired.

Don't beat yourself up over this. Moonton fosters and profits off our highly competitive nature. We just did what they programed us to do.

I feel that Moonton has a development team,there own internal testing a forerunner and test server to catch these things. It's not upto content creators and players to figure out if it's a bug when it goes to global servers. Moontons reaction was the kind of thing you do when your trying to differ blame. By punishing those that discovered the mistake that Moonton made. The only cost was there perceived value of the pixels players got.

When you clicked on the top left hand corner where your avatar was not even the whole avatar, you could clearly see it's a bug and shouldn't be there, then used it as an exploit. I can see how people also not see it as an exploit, but it is. If this was a bigger game with more player base and content creators and the players did this, all those users would have been banned. But because moonton relies on the content creators and because they/you shared this, they couldn't ban you and/or the players. For me the issue comes in how moonton reacted afterward. ALL of those who did not use the exploit basically missed out on some free stuff. For those who used the WGOLD they got a slap on the wrist with some diamonds missing(after the fix). This promotes people who didn't exploit it, to exploit it next time because moonton will just give me a slap on the wrist. ALL those who used the exploit should have been banned OR the BEST way moonton could have handled it and make the player base EXTREMELY happy and get more players in, is just give those who didn't do it the WGOLD. It would literally cost them NOTHING. Those who spend will still spend afterward, those who don't would still not. and Moonton can still do that. Definitely not too late.

Whats crazy is CCs put it out knowing it was wrong but when there was a penalty for it they defended the exploiters cuz they knew they would receive backlash but there was no mention of people who didn’t use it. With that small penalty people who took advantage of it will get to participate again which is absurd.

seriously, in other games, you’ll get instanstly banned regardless. it looks bad bcoz cc help players to exploit the game and threatened moonton afterwards. yeah its the dev mistake, abusing it is the problem. no matter how we think about it, a mistake cant be fix by another mistake. yeah someone you help players but you also help them to do some exploits

Players won't remember it in 2 weeks. What's done is done. Personally, i log in 10 15 min and i'm out. I'm sure if they keep pulling dumb sh!t like that the game has maybe a year left at best

From my take, Content Creators..especially with Mobile games like this, Bugs are whipped out on youtube asap.. Nobody would've complained if Moonton didn't retaliate with another mistake with the -30k diamonds. All players would be here all Smiling if they weren't caught. They can't pretend they didn't know it was a bug..not even for a moment. To put it more simply.. If you didn't share it.. They'd be complaining about that instead lol. But, as a CC just make sure to clarify "This is a bug, This could be sketchy, Tread Carefully" in the future.

I think we all learned a lesson about what to do when moonton poops the bed and lets something like this out. I was one who got an account nuked, so I'm gonna be reeeeeeal careful in the future. I think all the CCs will also remember w-goldgate and be a little more cautious in what they recommend. Whether you did the right thing? It doesn't matter, man. Don't overthink it. It's a game and we're all just big kids playing with our toys.

They divided the players over this. Let's talk about why was it ever allowed in the game until it was ready for everyone to use. We are talking about a professional company from China. They are supposed to be someone the smartest people on earth. I left most TH-cam groups for WOR because of all the hate and judgement. You can judge me but only God's judgement matters. I think that if you would've asked before sharing it, if you should do it or not, I would personally tell you not to share it with the community (to take advantage of it), just because that put all of the CCs in danger, even tho banning or taking action against CCs would be bad reputation for the company, they're on their right to do it. And if you should share it with your contact to let them know that's happening, well it probably depends on the situation but again you're on your right to do it, a bug is a bug, bugs should be reported 🤷🏻‍♀️ Not sure if that helps 😅 btw, I'm one of the people who did it, did it on my secondary account because I was pretty sure they would take action against people who did it, but also felt like they could've fix it for people who hadn't and let it pass on people who did, since it was all free stuff but idk, I'm not a CEO to know how that would've affected them

My thoughts? The penalty should have been 100 diamonds and 200 stamina. After all, that's the standard of compensation when they inconvenience us.

Don’t over think it. You can’t make everyone happy. Just keep making quality content and this will all go away. PLUS, let’s not forget that Moonton will fix anything that unintentionally benefits the community within minutes while dragging their feet fixing real problems. Although Moonton provides content creator rewards, the player base and your subscribers are what drives this game. Thank you for your service 🫡 Keep crushing the content!

Really it differs depending on the severity, game and developers but exploit early exploit often is a common phrase. If you look at what was gained, people obtained the rewards early so this would be something minor as long as the devs do not double reward people. Moonton were notified by a Russian discord user before Sebastians video was posted. It's not up to you to solve their errors. Big things and game breakers shouldn't be shared but something minor like this, why wouldn't you tell your community? Alot of the drama was pushed by a few bad actors but as with anything, you get 5 groups - angry who missed it, angry at cheats, the ill-informed, the uninterested, and those who benefitted. We only see those who make the most noise. Biggest drama was the -30k for a reason.

As somone who chose not to exploit in fear of a ban or suspension, The players only getting hit for 3500 diamonds doesn't make much sense to me.. will they be able to claim the rewards again when they return?

My question is, how in the Hell did someone discover that if you kept clicking in the corner of the avatar, that you could max out your points and purchase all of the chests ? Seems pretty strange that someone would just happen to randomly stumble upon something that obscure.

A lot of people are saying this was stealing and people should be punished. Well how the conpany will benefit from it for loosing big spenders in game for punishing them for receiving the gift early by exploiting a bug? How this even make sense? People are way to emotional and should instead look what is good for the developer and players.

I am down 2k diamonds and 5k w-gold that was bought with my own money before the bug was found. I am done with the game. That being said. Small request for future videos, please less wind chime lol

It was an exploit and it should be punished, in online game environment its a ban, any apologies from them are unnecesary. What kind of thinking is this? And an exploit being promoted by CC, is even more absurd, u dont cheer on person whos stealing, u call the police to get him punished for that.

Nicely balanced argument. Personally was very disappointed with their idea of rewards. On the birthday would a Lego soul stone have killed them? Hopefully unpolished will help. The 50 and 100 diamonds is such a miniscule reward. It takes 88*220 gems for a Lego which is 19,000 gems.

Yeah, the trust is broken. Wife and friend won't play it anymore so the game lost all value to me. I have no interest in playing this game alone. The currency doesn't matter as much as the trust. Wish they hadn't done this but the real damage was already done. At this point they could give us all 1000000 currency and we wouldn't come back.

I did call my bank and retract all my $250 of payments. The value of this game for me was saving the diamonds I had for upcoming characters and playing with friends. Well, my diamonds are all gone now and me, my wife, and best friend I had just recruited no longer trust the company. All their "merchandise" has literal zero value to me now since I don't have close companions to share the game with. Video games are for enjoyment, and my enjoyment being linked to time spent with friends means that their extreme actions broke the trust we had. Despite their "fix" that trust is gone, and I am very sad to be leaving. I cannot however continue to play a game with no value. If this was just us getting bored and finding a new game I would not ask for my money back, but given that this is entirely and directly due to their extreme and poorly thought out response to us using features they designed with the hardware made for it, it's their mistake. I didn't hack the game or use outside programming to game the system. It was clearly not their intention for it to work that way but that's not my problem. They turned a small mistake into a huge one. Even if they gave us all 10000 summons at this point we would not come back. I don't want in game "stuff". I want a game where we can grind it out ourselves and trust that our hard work will be there tomorrow. Put the blame wherever you want, but it's a loss on both sides, and mostly Moonton's at this point. We have moved on to EVE

You exploited a bug, in other games it's ban worthy, but because the content creators promoted it, and they rely on content creators to lure players they can't ban the content creators. Those who didn't spend the W gold lost(they got a lot of stuff extra), it's unfair and life's unfair but they've created a divide in the community and unless they reward those who didn't use the exploit it's gonna go downhill. Those who didn't use the exploit is getting screwed over.

The biggest problem is trust. I will never spend money again. I have been telling everyone I know that play the game and their other games to stop spending. Let them rot.

I suppose they handled the situation itself in one of the best possible scenarios. I unfortunately was too late to the party and didn’t benefit at all. Only thing I disagree with is the people that didn’t do the exploit didn’t benefit at all from this. We got 100 gems while there’s people that got 6 month cards and all kinds of other stuff the they still get to keep. Admittedly maybe it’s just jealousy. But I feel at this point that the players that weren’t able to partake should be compensated more equally to those that did. 100 diamonds is really just a slap in the face 😭

Thanks for the rapid heads up man. I was looking for something to watch in bed and your video popped up just in time. Moonton messed up big here, but im happy with my 3k diamonds for an 8k wgold reward. They should just give up already and hire me as community manager.

No mentioning about people not using the exploit. Those who used it benefited, now let's give something more to all. I don't understand you my friend. How would you like it if your close competitors got +100$ stuff for free while you got nothing? I understand that 35k diamonds is too harsh and will probably lead to many people quitting. When event goes live should people who have already collected and used their rewards be eligible to participate again? Because if it's 3.500 diamonds for 12000 W-Gold tell me how to give 35.000 diamonds for 120k W-Gold.

Glad they got the show back on the road. A lot of things were done wrong. As long as we are moving toward better it's ok.

The problem is, that CC's pushed this out and tell everybody its ok to exploit a bug... Yeah it was moontons problem, but if ccs didnt pushed it, and instead they contacted moonton about it... and now trying to save themself... And the most ironic part is, that who did the exploit and spend it on like 6m Priv card and summon card... it was like 3k dias... wtf is that? It was beneficial for them... and we think its ok :D
