Nice airplane, I actually had one and everything they say about it is true, except for I think when they said 100 kn, they actually met 100 mph. I don’t think you could get 100 kn if you were headed straight downhill, at least I couldn’t.

I hope someone one day explores the idea of a torsion rod suspension on a taildragger. Lightweight, & out of the airstream. You could even have shocks mounted to bell cranks for dampening. Already been tried?

Fantastic looking aircraft! I very much miss my Rans Nimbus recumbent bike, I bought from your firm, back in the late 80s. Had to sell it, about a decade later, when my vision started getting worse than it already was. LOL Really enjoyed that bike. And yes, the seat was VERY comfortable, as you mentioned about the aircraft's seat. Oh, the modified wind fairing I had y'all make saved my face from a rock, that was kicked up by a passing truck, back in the early 90s. Thanks for sharing this.

Now the fender dumps all the sand and water on to the vulnerable brake assembly. Better to trim the sides so that it fits such that the fender will dump its load below the brake parts. Stay adjustment may also be needed. I have fenders primarily to protect my bike from road salt and sand where I live. I found my Rans supplied fenders to be too short but within industry norms. The front fender does protect the crank area but riding into a head wind at speed, sand blows out the front of the fender, up into the air and into my face. This can be dramatically seen at night as my headlamp illuminates the spray. I would like to see the front fender extend more to the 2 or 3 o clock position. This would not be problem on a low speed bike but my Stratus is crazy fast through the air. This was with Schwalbe Studded Winter Marathons and may be isolated to these and other similar tires.

Love watching drop tests! But, I wouldn't carry my observations into inflight behavior. I did a few unintentional drop tests and the plane doesn't behave like that at all. And yes, I realize that you are doing hardware tests. Cool nevertheless!
