    Thanks for the detailed explanation on this. just traded into a 23 trd and had this happen after i got it home. I was freaking out!

    Damn , just picked up my 2020 TRD OR and this happened to me three times trying to drive up to my driveway and I thought it was the transmission, freaking scared the heck out of me. So it’s normal then , I lve owned a Ford , Mitsubishi and Chevy trucks and never had this happened. I’m gonna try it again and I will take a video next time and show it to the dealership if it happens again. Thanks for this video.

    That's bad. My '15 GMC Sierra does it quietly. If I remove the foot from the brake uphill, it says Hill Start Assist on the dash, it doesn't roll back, doesn't make a noise and releases when I push the gas.

    Thx for the demo! I just purchased a '23 Off Road and my very first hill stop I though "oh this is a great time to see if the truck has hill assist". I went to hit the gas and was like WTF WAS THAT! Tried again the same thing. My past vehicles that have hill assist it works great, the break is applied for just a moment to prevent the roll back. The process is smooth and did not cause any concern at all. I need to experiment a little more with the Tacoma but if this is the way it is on a stop start hill what is it like off road on a hill? yikes!

    Is it normal on the oil gauge moves?

    • @chris103193
      @chris103193 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, the oil pump moves more oil when you rev the engine faster thus more pressure.

    I love the 2wd slash, I've had 2 xmaxx, 2 maxx both v1, losi DBXL-E, losi tenacity, etc etc and nothing can take a beating like a 2wd slash and its hands down the cheapest to fix. I've never had an issue with stock axles in the back, as long as you know how to drive not land a jump on throttle and be static with it you'll be fine if your snappy with the throttle you'll break them yeah but I've owned my slash for 4 years never an issue with the axles besides the holes for the little u joints oval out and the axles have slop/play back and forth but that's after like months of use. Other than that good video I subbed.

    @user-fx7bx8kh6d ปีที่แล้ว

    So just to clarify, is there a way to turn this off so it doesn’t happen and make this awful noise? It really confused me when it happened the first few times in my new 2023 TRD.

    This is the anti-lock braking system kicking in. From what Toyota said this feature is normal. I wouldn't use it more than needed as it's used more in crawl control.

    I hate the RPM shocks towers, It just make tuning so much more inconsistent, bashing is fine, but it can cause shock shafts to bend with how much it can flex, at last the RPM rears flex more than the stock. RPM front Flexs but isn't anywhere near the same flex as the stock front tower.

    You forgot what’s a big one in my opinion. Captured hinge pins, I like the ones from STRC. They’re stronger and move smoother than stock plus they won’t back out like stock. The shock caps, LCG chassis, rpm rear bearing carries and the captured hinge pins should be day one imo.

      I’m needing bumpers for it and I was at my local race track and ramped it pretty hard and somehow landed on the rear and ripped out my pins on a new body and then when I ramped it again and broke a driveshaft, I just botched it together
