I am having a problem maybe you can help me please?, when using the snake tool, i create a new layer in the SCULPT TREE tab or in the LAYERS tab, and when i make a new spine, 3dcoat automatically change the current selected layer to the one i was using before, so i cannot do it in a separate, is like it doesn't allow me to draw in a new layer, every new thing i draw is set back in the main layer where i start

quick tip: when ur playing with camera raw filter lights - u can hold down alt to see what are ur darkest areas and brightest areas

Hey man I've started watching your videos lately and even got 3D coat cuz I was interested in using it for making environment assets. I keep sending a mesh from blender to 3dcoat as a voxel mesh and then I give it 64x volume. I try using a stencil on it (it was just some ancient engravings but it just messes up the sculpting and like makes a grid like pattern instead. Would you know how to fix this?

bro, just do unreal engine :) pritty much everything u did there u can do in UE faster and better looking, and if u know blender well u can learn UE in 2 days...

@3:45 you say you hit Alt-X and it mirrored the top, but I tried that like 20 times and nothing happened. Also, why does your mirror axis there say Y? For me to have symmetry where you did for the "mouth" I have to set it to Z.

Can you do more of these "Sculpt along" 3DCoat videos? Trying to get the hang of the software, and I am NOT an artist, by any stretch. Its helpful watching how others accomplish their end goal. Also helpful when they use the same software. Thanks

Hi Omar, when you used the CUTOFF tool, you can use DEPTH LIMIT in the E-Panel to limit the depth of the cut, when needed....instead of allowing it to cut through the whole model > plug the hole on the opposite side of the mesh. No matter how much we may know about the app, there are always some little tips or tricks we continue to learn along the way. Thanks for the tutorials.
