I took a stroll around Jakko-in Temple at the beginning of the year. This temple is known as a temple associated with the Tale of the Heike, and the moss is beautiful, making it a wonderful place to visit at any time. We were able to spend a relaxing time under the sunny skies while being healed by the clear air of Ohara. When you stop by Ohara, we highly recommend taking a stroll around Jakko-in Temple.
寂光院を散策してきました。平家物語ゆかりの寺として知られており、苔や自然がとても美しくいつ訪れても素晴らしい場所です。晴天の下、大原の澄んだ空気に癒されながらゆったりとした時間を過ごすことができました。

Found this temple ramdomly while walking the philosophers path in summer 2016. As soon as my family walked up the entrance we saw the biggest crow we have seen in our life. We decided to follow the path and was surprised that there was a temple and best of all it was free. Highly recommend the temple and the area in general.
