Three ways to make DIY mosaics
The first way is the easiest, use ready-made mosaic tiles. The second is using whole and broken tiles. The third is making a mosaic according to a sketch from different tiles.
The main condition is the thickness of the tiles for one product must be the same

What if I throw raw apple pieces into a blender? I preserved a lot of apples this way last year in the freezer. It tastes nice and fresh. I think cooking to make it into a jam and shelf stable is just one more step. You can use small imperfect garden apples.

My grandpa was an Iowa farmer born back in 1890. He used to always take into the fields with him a lard sandwich my grandmother made. I had no idea the sandwich most likely was herbed in someway. Somehow that detail never made it into the story!
