I’m glad to know you’ve begun the clean up process and have a place at no cost to store things. Would it help if some friends came for a weekend to help with washing items? Have dishpans, Dawn soap and towels and will travel! We’re retired with no obligations. Seriously, we would gladly make a weekend of eating sandwiches we bring to your house outside to work on cleaning your hard goods from your collections before you store them. Or doing laundry. Think about it. We feel helpless watching you go through this. Thank goodness for family and local friends to help you now. We’re willing to be a later group of helpers to do whatever you need then. My heart breaks for y’all as you walk through your home that was filled with your precious collections & items of sentimental value that are now damaged or destroyed. There is hope for the items that just have smoke damage as they maybe restored, your insurance should provide you with a restoration cleaning co & the cost is covered by your insurance. Keeping y’all in my thoughts & prayers. It was so good to see David the other night helping Scott with his sale. Texas ⭐️Strong & Proud ♥️🙏🏼🫂🫶🏼♥️

My neighbor’s home was destroyed in a propane tank explosion a few years ago. Fortunately nobody was hurt and they wound up rebuilding an even bigger and more beautiful home. Never be ashamed of your feelings. You have a legitimate right to a mourning period. You can not replace your personal items but you will always have the memories. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Good luck to you both in your recovery process.

So sorry for your loss! My family also experienced a bad fire in the summer, unfortunately if things that are salvageable are not removed in a timely manner mold will grow at an alarming rate. Prayers for you and your fami!y

Oh My Goodness, did not realize the size of your collections. Hopefully every one thing you can save will push you on to do more. Watching these videos has prompted me to change the batteries in my smoke detectors. I am also going to add renters insurance to my policy. Always had house insurance until I sold. Never really thought about it when I started renting until now. After seeing your loss, I know it is important to cover those things you cherish. Hoping in time your collections will grow once more. Guys, I am so sorry to see all this damage, but I can’t help but say that there are so many beautiful things you still have that survived and can easily be restored. You can have them restored professionally, photos, reprinted etc… it’s amazing what they can do nowadays there’s a lot of companies that specialize in this type of stuff so I think you’ll be able to save quite a bit. It’s going to be a long journey but we are here to support you! I wish I lived closer. I would totally help you especially Tammy clean and wash all those beautiful towels and sheets and blankets we would havethem looking brand new in no time.❤❤❤❤ I love you both so so much!! I’m praying for you and as David said the other day it is cliché but day by day you’ll slowly get there and bring everything back and better than ever!!! Tammy, I got 2 storage units when I had my fire. One was the Burn unit 🔥, with all the smoke damaged items in had to clean. And the other unit I stored all the cleaned items in untill I had my house back!!! The insurance company paid for my storage units, look into it with your insurance company! Much love 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙋🏼‍♀️Pam. PS yes you can get the smoke out of your clothes!!!!!! Dry cleaners can send them out for Ozone treatment!!!! it works wonders!!!!! Cotton etc can be washed, some times needed several washing’s, Hang clothes out in the sun on clothes line for sun and suns ozone to refresh them!!! It seriously works!

Was great to see David moderating for scott’s sale. Anything you can do to get normalcy back is great! I think it is the right start to salvage what you can into your dad’s unfinished house first and do the cleaning without rushing later. You. Will discover things that you have forgotten. It would be nice for us to know if you are receiving mail at your home address. Take it easy and have quality time with your family!
