      Marsupial did two drops in the last year or so but they sold out immediately- I was lucky enough to snag one in time. Marsupial has said that they will be making more but unsure of that timeline; probably this summer. Could always ask I in this Facebook group, I’ve seen them posted for sale in the past: facebook.com/share/g/15b3seiTSt/?mibextid=wwXIfr

    How would you say the L remotes perform versus the G home? I am looking at maybe buying some used G cameras, but I am wondering if the newer L cameras outperform the Gs even though they have similar specs.

    • @midwestmtnoutdoors
      @midwestmtnoutdoors 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The G cameras are still a little step up compared to the L cams - photo quality is about the same but I believe the G has more LEDs, a little better detection and “zone control” that further helps center the object. Can’t go wrong with either, just depends on what you can find on the Used market.

    Hello, would the Cuddelink L series work well as a security camera. Have you experimented with max distance to get a readable license plate on a car moving less than 20 MPH?

    • @midwestmtnoutdoors
      @midwestmtnoutdoors ปีที่แล้ว

      They do have a surveillance mode with records all activity as fast as possible but you may be limited by distance and clarity. Best image quality for animals are usually 10-20 feet from the camera so a moving car at 20mph would be difficult.

    • @midwestmtnoutdoors
      @midwestmtnoutdoors ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t seen that offered yet. But, you could always use the Cuddeback system as it was originally designed: Forget the cellcam portion - set one camera as “Home” nearby your house, cottage, etc, set all other cameras as remote (like in my video) and go frequently pull the home cam SD card to check activity from all the remote cams; no cell data plan needed

    How well stitched are the seams ? Single or double? Also , are the zippers heavy duty ? Thanks for the review.

    • @midwestmtnoutdoors
      @midwestmtnoutdoors ปีที่แล้ว

      The stitching where multiple pieces join are largely a “weave-type”, though I’m sure that’s not technically the correct term. Pants have lots of doubles stitching around hem lines; both have single switches where tetraloc meets wool. Zippers are YKK and are water resistant. I wouldn’t consider them heavy-duty but correct for the application; not overkill.

  • @gfboutdoors1369
    @gfboutdoors1369 ปีที่แล้ว

    good video Ben, How did you like using them this season? I have the compacts and am considering switching to the doubles.

    • @midwestmtnoutdoors
      @midwestmtnoutdoors ปีที่แล้ว

      I borrowed them for the early season so I didn’t use them for full season. Nonetheless, my updated thoughts are: Pros - the weight & packability is awesome, aiders are a must-have, and I definitely prefer doubles over single steps. Cons - these were the 14” so I would get the 20” for a little extra height, they are loud and need silencing, the “bolts” that anchor to the tree can be slippery on some types of bark and don’t grip as much as my Novix sticks.

    • @PennsylvaniaSasquatch
