Tension at 3 with presser foot up or down. Isn’t the top tension for and button stitching and vice versa??

Hi Harmony! Stan here. Looking into embroidery as a hobby/small business for my fiancee. We are getting married next week and by the end of April, we're moving to Florida and buying a house. It will be a busy next 2 to 3 months because we will be starting from scratch. I am basically doing research now for her. She's in the FBI now in California but giving that up to marry me. She hasn't had time for hobbies because she is also a single mom. Once we are married, she has access to a sizable inheritance and at 30 yrs. old, will never have to work again. I told her she needs a hobby and mentioned embroidery. My ex wife had a single needle Brother machine back around 2004. I enjoyed your video and subscribed to your channel. I just turned 68 years old this month and retired in 2012. During my last 15 years working, I was a professional freelance nature photographer and was published in over 25 countries. I am curious. Have you ever taken a photograph and digitized it into an embroidery file? Thanks again on the great video!!!

I have TL 18 QVP and never any tension issues ever. It looks like that one so not sure the differences. Oh I see mine was almost triple the price so I guess this is one I would buy to carry to retreat or something but it looks like controls are pretty much the same.

Try releasing pressure on foot , could be pushing the fabric instead of feeding

Make sure threaded correctly and try using all three holes instead of two or try one , because that will create nesting and uneven stitching if not correctly threaded, ask me how I know 😅

I started sewing in the late 1980’s but the singer I started on you used the foot pedal backwards, this is how I use all foot pedals now, and it works so well with this same machine I love my Juki 180vp

I've had my Juki 2000qi for about 2 months & have been struggling since the beginning. I've sewn for many years & have never had the tension issues that this machine gives me. New needle, 50 wt cotton thread, nothing unusual. I just cannot seem to adjust the tension without some little loops on the underside of the fabric (cotton). A huge learning curve! I've looked at just about every Juki Tube by the way. Any help would be great from readers!

I thought using the Melco would be more complex, I have a ricoma and it’s way more complex then the melco as I can see I did enjoy this little tutorial . I’m considering a melco for my future . It so much easier and I like how the software looks .
