EP 12: The Grit and Grace of Motherhood with Disha Shrivastava
In the latest episode of Bump In, I sit down for a deeply raw and unfiltered conversation with Disha Shrivastava-a woman who’s lived through the fire of postpartum depression and emerged, scarred but stronger, on the other side.
Disha’s story is both heart-wrenching and inspiring. As a mom, she shares her journey of losing herself entirely in the consuming vortex of motherhood. From the sleepless nights to the haunting silence of her darkest thoughts, Disha candidly speaks about navigating the storm of depression, her moments on the brink, and the slow, painful path of rediscovery.
Her resilience and unapologetic honesty shine as she reveals how she fought to piece herself back together, rediscover her identity, and embrace the fierceness that fuels her today. This episode is a sobering reminder of the unspoken challenges mothers face, the systemic gaps in postpartum support, and the vital importance of reaching out for help-even when it feels impossible.
Trigger Warning: This episode discusses themes of suicide and depression.
Whether you’re a mom, a partner, or someone simply curious about the often-overlooked struggles of early motherhood, this episode will leave you with a deeper understanding of the strength it takes to rebuild from brokenness.
Tune in and join us in breaking the silence around maternal mental health. Let’s hold space for these tough but necessary conversations.

Disha, you are a force to reckon. Your life story is very inspiring for every woman out there. ❤
This is great advice, thanks a lot!
Excellence , in sharing views Excellent , all the best to both of you
I can relate to the overconsumption of content point! There’s so much content about the right way to be a woman .. skin care and hair care and food and fitness .. it’s super important to remember to not overconsume the information and not overstimulate and stress myself out!
❤
Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Although, it is different for many of us. But, one thing that still challenges almost all the nuclear families out there is, when exactly is the right time for the mothers return to return to the work.
Woot woot...such an important conversation, well done 👏🏾 ❤
So excited for the episodes!
