How do we start to figure out what we truly want to be? I was in recruitment for 7 years, and always asked candidates 'what do you want to be when you grow up?' and it was the hardest question for people to answer. Such a simple question, but so hard...where do you start?

How to go on a Hero's Journey - Mojospresso #23
มุมมอง 4.8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
More about Mojo Crowe and what we do: linktr.ee/mojocroweapp The Hero’s Journey might be one of the most important themes we’ve ever covered in Mojospresso, because it's one of the most powerful frameworks to help us all navigate this crazy thing called life right now. The whole idea of the Hero’s Journey is that it’s the real story of life - or the "no-filters" experience of being alive, strug...

What does 'finding your mojo' actually mean?
มุมมอง 1.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
At Mojo Crowe, we live by 3 mantras - Embrace your weird, Own your story and Find your mojo. And while the first two have been easier to define, the third has always proved to be a little more difficult. So we asked the Mojo tribe for their help... and here's what they decided.

Thanks Ben, I relate to “ecxpectations” as a small business owner. I feel like have to be everything to everybody. This has only created stress for me and I’m rethinking and restructuring to do what I want to be. That way I serve myself & others with the best of me for them. 🙏
Thanks Ben. Just what I needed to hear today. I totally get what you are saying. I have done your (briliant) course and the challenge for me in my late 60s is to rewire the doing part to allow the being part to flourish. I get glimpses of it and then the old habits come into play. I am continuing to wrestle with it, play if you like. I know its finding the courage to let go of the doing crutches. Its scary for sure to let them go and face my own true self at my age. I am reminded of one of your quotes something like "dont care what peop;e think of you but care about people". I am trying to forge this path.
Thank you! TIME TO ACT.
Loved hearing you speak at an AusPost event. Been following you ever since and absolutely love this.
Very useful video, thank you.
Need to see this guy
I agree that many people take way too many things way too seriously. But there are many things on a daily basis to be taken seriously. For one, raising my son
no comments, your kidding me, that was amazing, I had tingles with that one. that reminded me of the If poem, if neither friend nor foe can hurt you, and if you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two imposters just the same. that is at Wimbledon and I can remember when Venus Williams played her last game on centre court, she was looking up at the ceiling as she was waiting to go out and play. I knew what she was looking at, the poem, even tough the media didn't pick up on that sentiment. edit Just remembered you worked with Serena, she was friends with Dusty I think
I love Ash Barty. the amount of expectation would have been huge and I think expectation can lead to attachment to the outcome. Also, if we are not mindful then we Ausies can feel we have to win to prove our worth and this also puts us at risk of attachment to the outcome. I use the word attachment because this is what Phil Jackson says is the one thing that can get in the way of the performance. Thank God she had you as her mindset coach and thank God she had a strong personality. I was thinking about Ash Barty yesterday as I was thinking about this topic for your video. I think she wrote a letter to Trent to ask him if she should watch a replay of her previous grand slam win, or wether to not watch it. I would love to know what the response was from Trent. I love that guy too. Love you Ben, have a great year, 2024, this is it, the time is now!
Ben - do you have any videos on changing mindsets? I’m meeting with a couple of teams and I think this subject would really resonate… Hope you’re well. James
Ordinary people focus on the outcome. Extraordinary people focus on the process. Put the process over the outcome. Enjoy the process, and the outcome will be whatever it will be. It's about the journey, not the destination. It finding joy in the present, not looking for happiness in the future. Legendary stuff!
You are so right in that this should be taught at schools! ❤️
Thank you, this is so good.
Thank you
Thank you ❤️
MojoCrowee-interesting .see ya!,🤝
Brilliant!
Love the Charles Darwin reference
This question and your response is as relevant today as it was when you recorded it. Thank you🙌🏻
Great intro!
Yes, just watched this as well on the ABC. This is what I think I have been struggling with, how to tell people that they are the key to themselves, which then flows out to those around you. Are you getting in the way of yourself?
I only came across you tonight via 7:30 report on the abc and I’m hooked. I’m not sorry for all the follows across all platforms lol what you’re saying is exactly what I needed to hear and find. Thank you for sharing I’m a fan of your work 🙌
Gorgeous great way to start Friday love you Ash❤️
I wish my 28 year old daughter would listen to this. Love your work.
I think this is Stoic philosophy 101 i.e the dichotomy of control and living a values based life. I totally agree with the message.
you got a fan here in Hong Kong.
Love this. Thank you.
Love those sessions! They’re so insightful. This episode got me thinking: what is the line between generous assumptions and pity? Also, how to practice radical empathy respecting my personal boundaries? Thanks and keep up the good work!
‘Writing a letter to yourself, written by your inner fan’ ;) how good does this sound… All of these techniques sound fabulous. Thanks, Ben, for sharing your wisdom and enthusiasm with us 🌿🙏🌿
