The Lisbon Architecture Triennale is a non-profit organization, of public benefit, whose mission is to research, foster and promote architectural thinking and practice. We host every three years the event that gives us our name, and also the Open House Lisboa every year, besides an extensive programme aperiodic but regular, of conference cycles, exhibitions and debates. And in our headquarters, an 18th century building, Sinel de Cordes Palace, which we are renovating and from where we operate, we have created a Creative Cluster that is the home of innovative and multidisciplinary projects, promoting the cultural and socioeconomic development of the city.

the unexpected thing at Rothschilds is that the public experience that took so hard to achieve is hindered inmediatly by the menacing presence of the bank´s security guards. It´s a great public space, although a terrible public experience for the curious passerby, who is made to feel like a dangerous intruder.
