Sadly I missed this one.
Wasn't the same without you! Hope to see you next time :) have a great remainder of the weekend!
I'm genuinely astounded-excellent job!
Thank you so much!
Hey, great video! I was wondering if you could tell me how you approached the sculpting of the frilly ring, specifically: how did you get the initial thin blockout mesh of it? I'd personally just use the move brush with radial sym, but I'm not sure there aren't better ways to do it.
Thank you! I did this a while back, so can't remember exact sequence of steps, but I think it was combination of radial sym, masking and move brush (or maybe transpose tool?). So pretty much exactly how you described it :)
Well, that music is creeping me out. Also, is this based on the portrait of the super mutants from the original 2 fallout games and not the Bethesda version? Thanks for sharing.
Yeah both the music and the inspiration for the portrait are from original 2 Fallouts. Not a big fan of Bethesda's games :) Although loved the series and that got me replaying Fallout 2 again now for 10th time haha.
@@EyesofLamia ah, I see. I only ever played the Bethesda Games. I thought they were okay, but I am a bigger fan of the Elder Scrolls series. What made you not like the Bethesda games?
@@prestonowens4594 I don't really know. It's not that there's anything specifically wrong with Bethesda's Fallouts, they are just very different. The originals left a big impression on me, because I played them first when I very young, so it would be hard for anything to live up to them :) I enjoyed the art-direction more in the original games, the dialogue trees too (especially compared to F4) and I enjoyed the turn-based combat haha. It's nice when you can go make a cup of tea mid-battle. But yeah Bethesda did a great job modernising it and keeping it alive and relevant for new generations. They are great at building environments and worlds. It just didn't click with me so much.
Hi buddy, great video; thanks for sharing! Can you recommend any video lessons on the anatomy of human movement? Faced with the fact that I really need to deal with this issue for stop motion animation of characters.
Thank you Mag! Oooh, good question. I can't think of any videos specifically related to anatomy in movement. There is of course the "Bodies in Motion" website by Scott Eaton, where there are sequences of photos that show off different movements and how the body changes through the motion. Then there's a cool Twitter/X account called AnatomyStandard. They have quite a few short videos on their feed that show off motions of bones/ecorche. These are probably the closest thing. Can't think of any educational videos that would specifically cover the anatomy of movement. Definitely would be an interesting topic. If I come across anything like that, I will let you know.
@@EyesofLamia Thank you so much! Either way, you've given some great advice.
Stunning work as always!!!
Thanks so much!
Awesome❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks a lot!
Love this!!! The advancement you've made in two years is astounding!! How often would you say a person needs to sculpt to see this type of dynamic progress? Keep up the great work!!!
Thanks a lot! For anatomy practices - I only did one anatomy sculpt per week in this time. For my day job though I do a lot of non-anatomy specific sculpting and I am sure that helps too. I think if a person can dedicate themselves to specifically anatomy sculpts on a daily basis, they could get this progress much quicker than me. But we all have different time availability and also different pace at which we progress. I think it's best thing is to just set a comfortable pace that works for you and stick to that for a year or more :)
@@EyesofLamia Awesome advice!!! Thanks so much for replying!
@@enthusiasticallyOptimistic thank you for watching and commenting :) good luck with your sculpting journey!
@@EyesofLamia thank you!!!!
Hello, I would like to ask how you made the mushroom gills. Could you tell me how it was done from the very beginning?
Hey, I can't remember the exact workflow. I think it was just enabling the radial symmetry, then using a combination of masking and Move brush to shape them up. Nothing fancy :)
You really do some breathtaking work in zbrush 🩷 I'm upgrading my old processor for zbrush . I wonder what ur PC specs are? Can u please share ur PC specs here? that would help me pick parts for mine. Thanks in advance
Hey, thanks a lot! Currently I have Ryzen 5950X processor and 64GBs of RAM in my work machine. But I worked for many years before the upgrade on i7 4770 and 16/32GBs of RAM. For Zbrush alone I can't say I notice a huge difference. At least on the level I am using it. But it was definitely worth the upgrade for things like Houdini, Maya and After Effects.
@@EyesofLamia This info will help me alot. Much appreciated ☺️
