Discover the Artistry behind unspun™and TEGET 's 3D Woven Collection | Static Noise by Ana Kraš
A 3D woven collection by unspun and TEGET.
Meet Ana Kraš, the multidisciplinary artist and designer who's the creative force behind Teget.
This video provides a glimpse into Ana's creative process and the designs she has conceived for her first collection with unspun™, called Static Noise.
Ana's journey as an artist has seen her traverse the globe, from NYC, LA, and Tokyo to Milan, and now Paris. In each place, she has showcased her versatility as a creator, designing everything from lamps for Hay and chairs with Kvadrat to runway sets for Ganni.
With her work deeply rooted in furniture design, Ana explores the intersection of art and functionality, creating tactile surfaces that are as pleasing to touch as they are to the eye. A key aspect of her creative approach involves the ingenious use of yarns to create artistic structures, a method that resonated deeply with our vision for our 3D weaving machine, Vega™. Just like Ana's designs, Vega™ is simple, yet intricate, and holds the potential to produce a range of artful designs and product collections in 3D.
Ana's latest venture, Teget, is a Paris-based homeware and fashion brand. It's the culmination of a decade of her experience in design, art, and fashion, and we're thrilled to be a part of its journey.

An intricate dance of innovation in motion. This is 3D weaving by unspun. It's a simple enough idea. We start with thousands of individual yarns, and directly weave them into seamless 3D textiles. By skipping entire steps in the conventional cut-and-sew process, 3D weaving opens the door to an entirely new world of super clean, super fast and localized production for woven apparel.

3D weaving for the future. unspun's vision is one wherein yarn may be woven into an article of clothing, unspun back into yarn, and woven into clothing again. Wherein the continuous and seamless construction of a garment preserves yarn length so as to make recycling it sans reprocessing feasible. As it exists today, circularity in fashion is theoretical. Its promise is hemmed in by practices th...

Our denim is made using circular design principles, following the Ellen MacArthur Jeans Redesign Program guidelines. This means that the components are designed to be reused. For example, we use un-electroplated and removable buttons, raw brass zips, Resortecs® Smart Stitch thread, and 100% unbleached organic cotton pocket fabric.

Amazing news! Congratulations! So far I'm wondering about how different the garments seem to look compared to what conventional garments look like. For my personal adoption, I think they might have to blend in more. I imagine already just weaving the pieces that in conventional manufacturing would be cut (with perhaps the added bonus of getting to eliminate some darts or gussets), and then sewing those together would save a lot of emissions due to there being no fabric waste, and have maybe easier time getting adopted by most consumers.
