Switch Panel Mounting Made Easy with This ONE Product
The Maven Performance billet 'switch panel mount' system allows you to mount your switch panel to roll cage tubing. A single bolt on the bottom of the clamp fastens the side plate to the tube with the use of a unique latching system on the top. An opening next to the tube allows you bring the wiring harness from the switch panel directly to the tube and pass the wires through side plate next to the tube for a clean install and look. Provisions for mounting Fueltech, Haltech, Motec, and SmartWire, keypads!

brilliant!
How much wire strands are supposed to show after crimping do u crimp onto the actual strands or rubber installation
@@Colinchazz the documents indicate that there should be .020” of strands showing and the wire bottomed out so that you can see them in the indicator hole in the side of the terminal.
are solid pins and stamped/formed pins interchangeable,
@@juanarredondo9601 technically they are- but it is very difficult to remove stamped pins from the HD30 series or similar “round” connectors- not an issue with DT/AT style connectors
Good video.
Was gonna get this for my fuel pump. But I'm running 2 fuel pumps, and 2nd pump will be triggered when needed.. so I'm not sure if it's the best choice for me to have 2 of these relay, 1 for each pump...or just regular 4pin relay
@@damnitdang how much current do the pumps draw ?
@mavenperformance it says 22.5a.. so around there... I'm using 2 walbro 450s. 1 main and the 2nd for extra when it needs it. So I don't think I'll utilize this TE relay for a fuel pump setup cus it needs 2 separate turn on
@1:34 -- How do you set the depth accordingly?
Check out this video th-cam.com/video/LJftESfqTsc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lthdmUpIfX7m7RF-
This was a very helpful video. I had no idea how far in the terminals was supposed to go
Looks like a great product from a trusted brand. Thinking of using these for a high-voltage high-power battery pack in my EV project.
for the connector with the seals, when I use a tool that crimps both, I have a real hard time pushing the wires with seals into position. I noticed yours slipped right in, and trick to get these to slide together easier
@@ssswdon if something seems tight you can use isopropyl alcohol or electronic cleaner to lube it before insertion- some of the other style of this connector are pull to seat terminals
Multiple wires in one pin is perfectly acceptable as long as the appropriate size terminal is selected. Even NASA approves this. See section 19.9 in this document. standards.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/standards/NASA/A/4/nasa-std-87394a_w_change_4_0.pdf#page78
The crimp is stronger if the wires aren’t twisted before crimping. Yes, you have to be more careful inserting them, but straight wires form a more gas tight crimp which is what you want.
Thanks for the great videos. Moving my bulkhead connector to a radlock setup. Also wanted the radlock setup for my battery. Problem is my battery has M6 threads, allowing me to only fit the 5.7mm post, which only goes up to 120A, 25mm2 cable. I don't see this having enough capacity to run a car with? How do you find the ratings to be on these? I do have the option of getting an engineering shop to machine me up a 8mm post with M6 thread. But that would be kind of costly. Not sure its worth that.
I have a question for 25.1 it says 7.49 or quicker at 2800 lb maximum does that mean it has no ET limit?
Really helps thanks

@#$&@#$& You car guys have the luxury of space! Try doing a sano install of “modern electronics” wiring into the space between a motorcycle gas tank, headstock, and the headlite nacelle. Boo hoo
Learn something every day.
i NEED some digi's in my life! Thanks!
Approved
FYI the plugs with-out the Grey Cage do not assemble the same way... The cables have to be threaded through the plug as the pins go in from the front of the plug not the back as in the ones you have...
Correct. We prefer (and sell) the “push to seat” rather than “pull to seat” style connectors and terminals
What is the Purpose of The Aux/Pilot Contacts ? like in a 480V 3 phase 4W application, what would be the purpose of the aux/pilot contacts if any ? Can you give a real world example or provide links to such ?

excellent video thank you!
Nice. Thanks.
Are there Sufi specs for cars running slower than 8.49?
There is a diagram in the NHRA rule book, it’s not a specification like the one on this video, basic diagram
Excelent video, answered all my questions about circular connectors and tools
Use NASA cable and harness workmanship standards speciation as your guide. It is publicly accessible online. A properly soldered joint that uses heat shrink tubing will beat this method of termination every day of the week.
Excellent Excellent videos man. Visually descriptive and simple to the point information. Q: Is this a similar harness setup for most stand alone ECU's out on the market in order to power an ECU?
Can you make a video on how to hermetically seal metal connectors to glass tubes such as vacuum tubes? I think Kovar wire is used for metal to glass seals. There is no video on youtube describing how to do it. Thanks.
Whats the brand/model on the Crimp tool that you are using here?
Do you have the model brand of the cheaper crimp tool?
I think those came from an auto parts store, they are not very good because the joints in the pliers are sloppy- there are better crimpers that are also inexpensive that are non ratcheting- look for a pair that have that shape / profile in the crimp section and has good reviews.
@@mavenperformance Im asking because I have already 2 different ones and they dont work at all, I bought your crimps as well. Would be awsome if you added some cheap ones to your website because I bet the expensive are worth it but when you dont use em often cheaper ones have to do.
I do quite a bit of wiring here and there and i'm currently building a full harness for my GVR4. I was just looking at the different GT150 3 way connectors out there and came across this. I absolutely love how much detail you've gone into for something that seems so small and inconsequential to most people. This is incredibly informative and illustrative. Couldn't ask for a better video.
Thanks for the feedback!
This video just pissed off a certain demographic 😂
Turn up your mic volume on future videos. Other than that, great vid. Thx
This video really helps with my project
FOCUS!
I prefer to take the paper, and cut the holes with exacto, then trace it onto a piece of cardboard, and then use the cardboard as a template to cut a piece of metal or plastic Then glue the original paper template to the plastic
Just the video I was looking for!😊..I like doing things neat and custom
Just bought a rb 464 round baler that had the harness run over can’t find a wire diagram for it looks like a 24 18 I guess you would call it that any help ?
Pin layout. ? What pin does what ?
Refer to the documentation of the specific sensor
My A/C wall unit is newer and it has a bare wire wrapped in aluminum foil. It's made for "Safety." It also has a reset button on the plug. My dog bit through 2 places. I repaired it, but it will not work without the bare thin wire. I tried replacing the wire, to no avail.
I wanted to mount my ECM under my seat for my LS swap. So I'm thinking if I buy a second harness off Ebay, I could use this to extend my LS? Use one harness under hood, one harness in the cab with the connector as the junction.
What if u wanted to run faster than 6.5 but don't have a tube chassis? No mention of oem frame cars better than 25.3. 🤔
Then you’re limited to 6.50 I guess? Idk. Cut the floor out and go 25.1
Awesome vid.... Good stuff!!!!👍👍 I'll make sure I'll talk real nice to the connector😅😅, don't want getting pissed at me 🤣
Very nice
