They really need to fix AI targeting flying units with anti-infantry artillery just because they have missile strength.

@@Arkssa its probably, more than likely. On a todo list. They been working on magic/ range properly tracking targets for a hot minute now. I think the problem is the AI sees flying units as a high threat because it doesn’t bring enough range. Idk.

Oh for sure! I think thrones of decay is probably one of the best patches/dlc that we have gotten so far! I wished I waited for the 5.0.3 patch to play Malakai. I think the grudge system is tuned much better now! Now I wanna see a proper rework for my brettionains

@@muddfam2529 I don't see a world where a Bretonnia rework would include their voice-lines so they will always be a D-class faction in my book ;P But yeah, if they give the same treatment the ToD-factions got too future DLC races then with 2-3 DLC's the game could be in a super nice spot.

I don't think Gotrek would want any other dawi to know he was almost defeated via death by Snu Snu. Unless of course he's into it....

I enjoyed the idea/ theme of the quest. But Gotrek and Felix being level 1 makes them too squishy for fighting in prolonged combat by themselves. I think giving the players control of them would be better or not have an army go for them immediately.

@@muddfam2529 lowkey though. I've attempted this battle like 10 times already and didn't win, playing as Dwarfs. Playing as Dwarfs and not being able to rush to Gotrek and Felix almost always guarantees that they'll be at 50% HP when you reach then. Then Gotrek keeps throwing himself at every big target and dies in moments unless he's super buffed with damage reduction from my Runelord. Closest I got to winning was killing 2 of the 3 aluresses, then out of nowhere Gotrek simply died and I was like 'THIS MF".

Yea, Dwarf armies would be a bad faction for this particular quest battle. Because speed is key, while dwarfs are natural sprinters they are not long distance. My best recommendation is use slayers to support Gotrek, Use gyros and cannons to fight the Aluresses, plus the runelord with the buffs. I can't remember if any dwarf units have vanguard or not, they could be useful as well. The problem with this quest is becoming overwhelmed off the bat, the attacking force should be smaller or delay the spawn of units longer.

@@muddfam2529 Sounds like a good plan, man. I'll try it with a Slayer hero and a couple of Slayer units + 2 Gyros for speed (1 does some pretty decent damage, 2 will probably do even better lol). Only Vanguard unit that comes to mind is Miners, but maybe Rangers/Bugman's Rangers? Also yeah, Artillery is 100% the key to murdering the Aluresses. Just need to have a unit of Longbeards/Ironbreakers along with them to protect from the damned Furies.

I really hope that pun was intentional! I must admit that I had a moment of weakness. Still learning how to properly micromanage range based armies.

From my perspective it looked like my second line had line of sight issues. Of course that could have just been me and my line was fine to begin with lol. The mortars are also pretty good at not dealing too much friendly fire.

Wouldn’t be a bad idea to have some form of anti large in the army. But the problem with this army setup is that I have nothing to hold the line long enough for irondrakes. Once in combat they are pretty much done. At least both thunders can put up a fight. Worth to test out though!

@@muddfam2529 iron drakes themself (flame thrower version) are pretty much the frontline, about 4 of them can hold a full stack of elite infantry with raw dps, just stagger them and put shotgun thunderers behind them to knock back anything get too close. shotgun thunderer are better antilarge than trollhammer btw

I wonder if it has to do with the only flying trait. So the ai only sees your small amount of land based units in the auto resolve. Because the ai thinks if it just takes out your land units it’s a insta defeat because barges can’t land. Or maybe I’m just over thinking how the auto resolve works lol. I just see trends on occasion.

I’m gonna be honest… I did not see the damage per second, I only saw the speed and turn speed.

Due to Malakai spending all the oathgold on “trinkets”. Budget cuts had to be made. The guild felt that irondrakes were the better/cheaper alternative. I also may or may not have “lost” said cannons during the expedition.

I lost a fight against Tamurkhan, Lost gyros, great canons, it was a pretty rough defeat. He tanked/ out healed 4 canons and the thunderbarge. needless to say I was pretty salted up, lol.

Yep, I didn’t notice it till after the replay. I thought that they just got crazy buffs from the maggot lord. I wonder if Pegasus/ hippogryphs knights have the same effect tho. I’ll have to test that.

@@muddfam2529 yeah all flying units large enough to push people. so vargheists, hippogryphs etc. Youll just see it more often withlarge flyers in big groups like the rot flies
