Great demonstration short right to the point I watched a lot of videos one of the best
I appreciate that!
Can I use coconut flour?
I haven't. I have used gluten free flour.
Wow! The little frogs are so cute!
Looks great, can’t wait to make it!
Hope you like it!
Yum!
Looks delicious!
Thanks! 😋
I did this im a 56 year old man this is the best blueberry pie i think I've ever had. This has got to be better for you than a Snickers bar . You are awesome and I will check out your others i wrote this down and will enjoy again. Made this yesterday and it was great today. Thanks for sharing please find someone to give you a hug for me unless you just don't like hugs.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it.
Looks yummy!
Thank you! 😋
Finally a Christmas Wreath I can get onboard with! No needles getting stuck in my feet, instead delicious cookies I can eat later! Looks to so pretty!
LOL! So true 👍
What a great idea!
Just found your channel. One of the higher quality smaller cooking channels❤ keep it up !
The maple cookies are so delish!
I will make this tomorrow with lattice top to put in the freezer till Thanksgiving. Will this freeze well and what is best to defrost before baking?
Hi, I've never frozen this pie. I have frozen apple pies, but sometimes the bottom crust gets a bit soggy after defrosting. Should you decide to freeze it, wrap well in plastic to avoid freezer burn. Defrost in your fridge overnight (this may help to avoid a soggy bottom crust by slowly defrosting).
Ingredients names?
In the description link
I am gonna need to make this!
My cookie didn’t flatten out, instead it was a little puffy and cracks in the cookie. Followed the printed recipe as well as watched your video. Not sure what went wrong. Any advice? Thank you
I am so sorry this occurred! The only thing I can think of that would cause this is if the oven was too hot...this would cause a quick rise and the tops would react by cracking if they risetl two quickly. I keep two thermometers in my commercial ovens to ensure the temp is correct. If your oven was the correct temp I can't think of anything else that would cause this. I'll do a little more research. As you said you followed the directions...so I am at a bit of a loss right now. 🤔
Thank you for your response, that makes sense since I’ve noticed my oven temperature does tend to elevate a bit. I’m going to purchase an oven thermometer & try this recipe again. One last question does the gluten free flour brand matter for this recipe? Thank you.
I use any brand that has xantham gum in it. My favorite is King Arthur or Bob's Red Mill (most reputable brands will work). You may also want to cut back to 3/4 teaspoon of baking powder and baking soda. I make it with the full teaspoons, but cutting back just a tad will still be helpful in the over rise. Thank you for your feedback even though the recipe did not meet your satisfaction!
Just to be clear I meant 3/4 teaspoon each of baking powder and soda.
I will cut back on both the baking soda & baking powder & in addition. I will be sure to maintain the oven temperature to 350, I plan to try this recipe again, I’m sure with your suggestions it will be successful. In the meantime, despite it all, I was able to fill & enjoy them. Thank you again.
People don't measure by OUNCES... IT'S CUPS.
Ok
So pretty. What are the red sugared fruits at the base of the cake?
Thanks! These are candied cranberries.
Yummy and pretty!
Thank you 😋
How long would you say you leave your blueberry to defrost before it’s drained out enough? Are you defrosting the bag in the fridge or out?
I usually defrost overnight in the fridge. Then drain the juices for about 15 minutes.
These look so fun!
I so want to try this…don’t have mini skillets so I wonder if a cupcake pan or muffin pan would work…?🤔
Hi, I have not tried it, but I have a few readers who have used muffin pans successfully.
@@smsinny1 wonderful, thank you!
I wanted to see it cut open…I made 2 blueberry pies this weekend using 2 different recipes and they were both runny…I’ll try this one and hopefully it won’t be runny…
I hope you have a chance to make the recipe. IMO the two most important aspects to a pie that isn't runny is 1) defrosting / draining the blueberries and 2) the slurry is thickened properly.
@@smsinny1 I’ll let you know how it goes. It’ll take me a couple weeks to try it. I’m really enjoying your channel. Glad I found it…
Such a great idea! What are the beaks made of?
Thanks for stopping by. The beaks are made from cut up pieces of candy corn.
I love the creepy music!
Hi is this a cheesecake somewhat or entirely different, since u used what a person needs for cheesecake, onli no creamcheese, can i add creamcheese
Hi, the texture of this is different than a cheesecake. It is much lighter. I have not tried with cream cheese and I don't think adding it would work. Cream cheese would make it a heavy texture.
No milk is the best, just put rum and get drunk 😊❤
Go for it!
I made it It was so hard so I made it kinda badly But it tastes so good I use food ideas from u a lot!!
I'm so glad! The best thing about galettes is they are freeform so they never look bad!
Ooo am going to try it Also u are so good at baking!!
Yay! Thank you!
Never would have thought to mix candy corn with chocolate… I’m so curious now
Hi Stephanie! Love this video and the bats flying around! We have candy corn with dry roasted peanuts now while we're watching Iowa vs Ohio right now. 💞😊
I hope you have a chance to try it!
Sounds like a great time!
Love anything phyllo in my house - add Nutella and you have a winner.
I love eating paper!!!
Go for it!
I can't wait to try it. Thanks 😊
Hope you enjoy!
Super cute!!
Thank you! 😊
Thats so cute!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Yum! I'm going to make this tomorrow!
Have fun!
Thank you for this scrumptious looking recipe. All your recipes are excellent, no nonsense, delicious special treats ❤
Thank you so much 😃
Amazing I love it. I’m gonna try it this week. Thank you for sharing and posting. It’s lemons. Are a perfect farewell to summer before we start into the pumpkin spice season.
Hope you enjoy
👍🏻
Thanks for stopping by 😊
So creative ❤
When you reference ounces, are the liquid components liquid ounces or ‘weight’ ounces?
Apologies...I wasn't very clear. For liquids (water, blueberry juice) it is liquid ounces. Everything else is by weight. Recipe is clearer in the video description (also a printable version is available in the description link).
How do I make a peanut butter and chocolate cinnamon roll? Like a Cinnabon-style roll with peanut butter dough and chocolate cream on top.
Not sure. I have not made anything like you describe.
Hello. My 1.5lbs of blueberries extracted much more than 4oz. Do I stop collecting the juices after 4oz or just let it keep giving up the moisture? Thanks!
Hi, you want all the juice drained from the defrosted blueberries. Just retain the 1/2 cup (4 fluid ounces) to make the slurry. If you don't drain it all the pie may be runny.
Nailed it! Probably the best and easiest banana cake I've made. Added an extra tablespoon of rum to up the boozy flavor.
Fantastic! Thanks for letting me know.
Nice design
What happened to the butter 😊😂😮
I don't understand what butter you are referring to.
On the recipe printout, it mentions to "place assembled pie in the refrigerator or freezer to allow the crust to relax". It doesn't indicate how long to put it in the fridge/freezer and it is not mentioned on the video either. How long does it take to have the pie relax?
Once the oven heats to 425 . You just want to chill the crust. It can be 10 minutes or an hour.
Maybe a stupid question, but the 4 ounces of blueberry juice came from the 1&1/2 pounds of blueberry right?
There are no stupid questions! Yes, it came from defrosted blueberries. You may also use water if you don't have enough juice.
