Hi, lets try to work this out ..., i need some additional information to do this : 1. which virtual machine do you use today in 12/2024 2. download link , and instruction how to set it up 3. Question so steam still installs on Windows 8.1 or only in a virtual machine ? Would be nice to have the additional information in the Video description (Links) and some instructions if needed.

i tried it, took a lot of time to start but worked for me on my 8.1, but not worked for my father on his pc. both of us tried in the same day, 28 december 2024. for him an error message says that the gldriverquery.exe has a problem

Okay for clarity this goof just stole this entire thing from another video (video is: g8eSrk4N6Ls ) which is 4 minutes, and clearly narrated in English, with no huge swaths of dead air and nonsense. Watch the real version, save yourself the frustration of this poor quality copy.

This video has more dead air than any video I've ever seen, how can you be this bad at making a tutorial?

Steam stopped working in November for me, it still loads, but locks my system up hardcore and I need to reboot for it to recover. Even left it on overnight thinking maybe it'll stabilize and run later and I was just being impatient, but nope. It's kaput for me.

i have followed all of your steps and everything is working except my ability to download games. it claims the connection times out every time. how would you advise I solve this ? thank you for all your help so far !

I tried this fix but while logging in it says there was a connection problem and it gives me 2 options either retry or i have to enter offline mode. i clicked enter offline mode but it does nothing

Does not work anymore. Add this line to steam shortcut: -no-cef-sandbox kill steam in task manager, open from modified shortcut and enjoy.

Steam in stuck in offline mode. How do I fix this?
