WC Finishing Touch refinishes furniture to give a new look to old furniture that has been thrown away whether it is modern or antique. Lately, I have been finding disused wood materials and transform it into valuable and useful objects for my family and friends. I am also sharing how to repair and transform items around the house.
Basic Trivet-Easy DIY Project
This short video is a easy diy project that anyone can make and takes less than an hour to make. From all the online videos on making a Trivet it comes down to that it is just a piece of wood to put on your table to prevent the heat from your pot or pan from damaging your table surface. The basic Trivet can be made from any wood species, you can cut out design on it using a scroll saw, or cut it into any shape. I hope this inspires you to put your own creativity for your Trivet.

This is a short video on how to fix a split in a Bamboo Cutting Board. My mother gave me her cutting board that has a split in it and I am using this to show how to fix it. Cool build ! I’m curious, was that a Forstner bit you used with a regular drill?? If so, do you have any tips please?
Yes, it was. I used a regular drill and the bit was a little wider than the dowel. When using a power hand drill and Forstner bit, you have to try to keep it at 90 degrees and press down slowly.

It was a Father's Day gift for my son in law.
Very pretty now. The shellac does a better job of enhancing the color than had it been varnished, like the original finish. I'm not a fan of oak, but a refinished piece of oak can look better than the original. This one does.

I just clamped mine together following your plans. I’m tempted to throw a nail in each corner for stability. Could always putty small hole. What are your thoughts?
You can do that if you want to. Put the nail in the corner where no one would see it, the top and the bottom of the frame.
