Back in 2015 in all fountains was no water, as there was not enough. But not been in Havana so can be even worse there. But yeah, Santiago is the most Caribbean city in Cuba and more reggae liking people and few bands. Most tourists go to the pretty white sand beaches in the North. And those in the Varadero area are not far from Havana, so majority takes daytrips to there. From the north resorts in east Cuba it is further away to Santiago, so such daytrips are not really done much. Cespedes Park has also WIFI. You can buy wifi-cards, at most right shop below the Cathedral (was in 2015). And from the roof of Hotel Casa Grande you have nice view. Bookshop was not far from where I slept. From the Cathedral you walked passed the bookshop and then bit further right into a narrow street and then 2 blocks further. Offcourse in a Casa Particular, like in Las Tunas where I also went. Went also to El Cobre and El Morrow Castle, also nice little lighthouse near the Castle. And the island. Shame I did not know about the Dino Park. Other places is: Plaza de Marte, is also often music things held on. Old Bacardi Family House in North part of Santiago (now owned by the government).
