Number 2 is a Butterscotch hardtail Strat replica with custom wound 1959 style pickups, single ply black pickguard and a medium C shaped neck with a 12 inch radius. Thanks for watching, a...

Here's a clip of me badly playing the 52 Replica Blackguard Tele style I built in 2021. A potential buyer wanted to see and hear it unplugged. Enjoy the guitar, if not the playing so much.

    Very cool. It turned out really well. I’ve always loved copper. How did it work out once in use for a while? Did the strings pull that back lip over under tension since it wasn’t joined to the sides? Just curious because this looks like it’d be worth emulating. Great job

    Stunning guitar. What is the rest of the body, pine or spruce? What finish u use? My tech made me a new-tele body from spruce. It so unusual solidbody material, its so soft, but sounds good, and the guitar is so light. Because of its softnes it will geet relic-look soon i thing ;)

    Looks great. Just curious, does reversing the slant of the pickup have any advantage or just to be different?

    • @britishnerd3919
      @britishnerd3919 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The slant was to boost the treble in the original tele bridge, so this would probably have the opposite effect.

    That sound to me is more like 120 year old spruce but it is close enough to 115 and most people would not be able to tell. But most of the sound from guitars all depends on what you clean your guitar with. And how far off the planet you really are?

    If you want to prevent the boards sliding over the wet glue joints, just throw some course table salt in the glue.

    That would Look EPIC with a Whisky Finish. I use half Cup of warmed up Oil, 5 Shots of Whisky, 2 spoons Vinegar, and Chuck some Wire Wool in to a Jar. Let it Naturally Cool down give it a Stir then apply. Looks Really Warm and Rustic.

    Still looks like a railway sleeper that's absorbed oil, coal dust and all manner of unmentionable muck. At about 3.30 it started to look as if there were real possibilities for interesting book-matching, but then . . . ??? Maybe when it's been sanded, finally shaped and properly stained and/or lacquered it will be something to admire . . . but not yet. I assume that will be part 2, so let's give it the benefit of doubt for now. I'm sure you can see what we, as yet, can't. Good music soundtrack though.
