I've loved Taiyo Matsumoto's manga ever since I read Black and White when it was printed monthly in Pulp Magazine. I've always felt his stories to be quite unique since they are mostly void of any humour. They move along quickly, constantly giving you drastically different points of view and slip you into the many somber worlds that he has created.

their magic system is pretty similar to what in our world traditions we consider a magic system, spells is real Grimoirs like Saint Ciprianus are all about finding small treasures, cleaning the house, the black hen, lust spells, lívido spells, remedies, etc.

I can't imagine that if No Game No Life was released today it would be rejected based on how horny it is. In the past few years we have had titles like Harem Labyrinth, Redo of Healer, and Interspecies Reviewers. Granted they aren't exactly top rated but they all have their fans. More importantly though there is Mushoko Tensei which is regarded as one of the all time best isekai and it features a protagonist who literally worships women's panties.

The chapters all full to the brim of content, and the pauses are way less "arbitrary", he decided where to stop. Been playing VGC on and off casually for 10 years or so and made super similar mistakes finally trying out a tournament in Reg H, both in team building and gameplay. Biases, because each characters magic is an expression of themselves; its limited by their biases. Sense states this, but I don't think its conveyed to the audience well.

It reminds of a series I watched years back- a magical girl spin-off of the fate/stay franchise. One of the characters is very able to believe that her magic will work, but the other has to rationalize it through a scientific lense.
