Fixing issue with my Cub Cadet 1200 not going into gear
In Today's video i fixed the problem with my Cub Cadet 1200 Garden Tractor not going into gear because the shaft/clutch was grabbing driveshaft to much so it was spinning to fast to put into gear don't forget to like comment and subscribe

In today's video I give an update on my cub cadet 1200 tractor and I talk about my grandpas push mower I restored and is now mine then I show neighbors lawn I cut every week now.

...or just drop the drive shaft from rear-end and remove shaft, change clutch and be done. 2 ways to do everything and sometimes more than 2. 1st one I did I removed motor , after that, I do the shaft on all others

Just bought a 74 1200 with low hours and mowed 2 acres no problem.
What brand tires are the front? I like that smooth style.

Do yourself a solid and buy a service manual. ;) you'll thank yourself later! Repros are on ebay, cheap.
Nice looking tractor, but that red horn thing hanging off the side is absolutely hideous! If you hide it inside the frame or steering column tower somewhere, it would look so much cleaner. 😉
Right on. Looks like it's got potential, but a horn? I dunno Wth the point of that is but it looks awful, located where it is. If you could "hide" it somewhere, it would be so much better. Whatever floats your boat though. 👍 I was hoping to see more on the PTO, Quick Attach & deck, as I picked up a 1200 that's missing all that, but I have those parts now and am trying to figure out how to get everything reinstalled, for mowing, etc. I have an old 44" triangle deck too, so that's probably what I'll use. I'll leave the 48"er on my model 125. ✌️ BTW, you can get a real injection molded IH emblem for not much more than those crummy 3D printed ones they sell on ebay.

Nice 1200 I have a 1978 1200. When I rebuilt my clutch. I pulled the six bolts on rear end drop drive shaft way quicker. Did you put the spring in between the clutch plates ?
93,147 on mine and I going to drive it until it dies since someone totaled my Altima. No car payments so no complaints-saving for an old school caddy.
I have a 1990 Buick century with a 106k on it same color too putting in a track bar and my ac doesn't work too
You need a repair Manual for that tractor. Your talking about taking off a bunch of unnecessary parts. Drop the deck, mule drive, and the tunnel cover. Those 3 items will allow you access to your entire driveline to remove the driveshaft
the tube was probably filled with water for traction alot of people put stuff in the tires for weight and traction
They use either RV Antifreeze or Calcium Chloride in the rear tubes ( like the big farm tractor's use) so it won't freeze and adds weight for traction and stability on hillsides. (To keep the tractor from rolling over sideways on top of you.) The Calcium is highly Corrosive and will eat your rims off your tractor over time... but may keep you out of a Hospital !!!! ;-) As far as the white paint on your wheels and the rest of your Cadet, Rustoleum Almond is very close to the correct white for your tractor and Old Cat Yellow or School Bus Yellow is the yellow. AKA Federal Yellow

You need red or yellow pulling spring, the factory spring is shot. You can buy one from Midwest super cub.

My problem is I sanded my entire tractor down to paint and my dad backed over the hood. We got it knocked out but it’s a little wrinkly.
That sucks i painted it then decided to fix clutch issuse didnt scrach it bad though couple small spots
JTR247 you could always touch it up with a paint brush then buff it out. Also today we got the hood back pretty straight and tomorrow I’m priming the tractor.

Your clutch looks different where it bolts on to the motor than on mine. Also mine have springs on the clutch plate.
We figured out that its an aftermarket 3 pin clutch driver so that’s probably our problem because its like 4 times thicker then stock

I just got another 1200 and there is no air cleaner and the clutch and break is messed up. It’s strange how similar the problems are
must be common on them to take the airfilter and people must overwork / do tractor pulls with them for why the clutch/brake is messed up
JTR247 I adjusted the brakes and the clutch but it’s missing the clutch return springs on the front. They are a cheap part but I might sell all my cubs
MH Ghostreaper dont sell them fix them up unless you got no use for them way better then the super cheap unreppariable junk they sell now
