Can you share the sizes of the bulbs please?

Had a c11 in 1972 made a great chopper
Good man I’ve done the same to mine today on my BSA a65 1965 Removed and cleaned it
How did you get the trip mileage shaft to come back out through the case in order to reattach the trip zero knob back on?
There’s a second hole in the post Pull the post and insert a solid bit of wire about .5 mm and poke it through the bottom hole then let go you can now fit the knob back on the top hole then pull the wire out I did it to mine today 😊😊
Jesus man remove the tank ans coils that's it
Excellent job ❤ dreading this but it has to be done old girls birthday 40 year's old ill have to treat her 😂
Thank you. 👍👍
Thank you very much for the video, very clear and easy to understand👍
Pleased to help!
Thanks for that, I'm about to dismantle my D1 Speedo👨🏻🔧
What would i expect to pay for one in that condition?
Hi Chris, if you can do all the work yourself, possibly no more than £2500?
@@projectmoto9089 Thank you
Perfect thank you, I've the same issue currently...
The other thing worth checking is your spark plug gap!!!
Looks like an interesting project.
Thanks Frank, I'm hoping I turn it into something very special.
Great project about 3 or 4 technology notches higher than the BSA C10, but your just the guy to pull it off.
Thank you very much Chris. It's going to be a test that's for sure.
Thank you for a very helpful video. My speedo has the same problem. I'm wondering if you looked at anything other than WD40 for cleaning this mechanism? Presumably jewelers use something to clean fine mechanisms - I suspect it isn't WD40!
WD-40 Worked perfectly for me, but if people can find something better by experimenting, then yes of course. Or just do what I did, which worked for me.
Great job done, you came a long way in a very short time to get the bike ready for the charity ride, it look very smart, well done.
Thank you Chris. I need a new project now...
Your making a lovely job of it mate, fair play to you 👍👍👍
Thank you very much, thats very kind of you to say!
great job ,where did you got the parts let us know thx
So most of the parts came from a place called Brit Bits in Christchurch in the UK.
Well done on that you’ve done a lovely job!! 🙌😊💯
Thank you very much, thats very kind of you to say!
I owned a BSA C10 back in 1963, mine had the speedo situated in the petrol tank, not the fastest 250 ever made but was quite reliable
Yes, it does seem to be pretty good, apart from the fuel evaporating...
Just wonderful to hear the amount raised by this event, over 1000 riders wow what a logistical challenge. Thank You and always the content was brilliant.
Thank you very much! The Poole DGR was the biggest in the country, and has now raised nearly 80, 000GBP Also, as far as I can see, only one other "city" in the world had more riders!! How amazing. To put that into context, Los Angeles CA only had 497 Riders.
Great job! Have a great ride😅
Thank you so much, looking forward to it.
I had a round trip of over 60 moles a day for year's on a C15 with the SS80 engine... Only one easily solved problem, the Coil gave up. My mates brought me a pair from my garage !!🎉
Fantastic , I love stories like this !
What a beauty....
Thank you very much!
Great job done, looks fabulous, hope to see it on the charity run next Sunday.
Thank you very much Chris, and thank you once again, it's been a real pleasure to work on.
You did a good job on the old BSA, sounded lovely and looked a treat.
Thank you very much!!
Great video... exactly what I needed to do this myself...just about to pull shicok over lunch.thx
Really helpful, I'll check this first, but I think my motor is gone. I would also recommend refilling and checking the washers before putting the guard and wheel back on though in case there are leaks or it isn't fixed! thanks again for an informative video!
Definitely a good idea!
When you remove the shock does the bottom bolt have a bushing that also has to be removed before you can slide the bottom out?
Hi Matt sorry I didn't see your question. I checked through the video, and didn't see anything on my bike.
Do you have anything used I can buy off you for a rear shock on a 2012 R1200GSA? Mine is leaking oil pretty badly.
I have to do same but I'm going to use vinegar to clean then thinners to remove the vinegar Dry it out in sun and put in a tank sealer I have brought . Puts a layer to stop the rust again .
Hi Peter, yes I used a tank sealer on the old BMW I have. I thought i'd try this first. Vinegar is also an acid, so would work well i'd imagine.
Great cheap solution, I don't think Halfords will be stocking this!
That worked well.
Cheers mate for this, really helpful. I have just bought a mint 2014 ST3 pre-fact lift with exactly the same problem so will give this a try. My Mrs has a 2022 Golf Style and the washer bottle has a removable filter in the neck which I always keep clean. Ford should do the same. I have always used a very fine mesh plastic sieve that I got from a pound shop when topping up the washer bottle for this exact same reason 😁👍
Glad it helped. I've heard that it might be the use of different makes of washer fluid too... Apparently they can react and make a sludge..
@@projectmoto9089 Agreed, That makes sense to me too 👍
Wow that must of been some learning curve? well done.
Certainly interesting Chris thats for sure!
A very brave soul, and well worth the watch, I have had the privilege to work on many Smiths Industry gauge’s albeit mostly in aviation. Patience, a good light source and the ability to take a smoke break Priceless. Thanks.
Haha thank you Max, great comment and very true. I'd loved to have taken it all to pieces but I think that might have ended in tears!

Amazing Work , Sir ❤ Lovely Bike ❤ I Just Love This Bike ❤
Thank you very much. It ended up in the USA!
Good video going to try this hope it works cause bloody MOT coming up
Did it work?
My car doesn't have that extra breather / vacuum hose on the airbox.
Great vid thañks alot I was trying to put them in wrong way round after watching this it took 7 mins to replace both bulbs to xenon...
Really glad to help, makes it all worth while!
It's getting better and better. I would not do any further work on the front number at the moment , but review it when the bike is complete to see if it warrants it.
Thank you Chris, it's getting there now..
A good video thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Good morning, Maybe I’ll start restoring a 1954 BSA C10. Are all parts still available? And do you have any addresses or sites to advise me? Thank you in advance and sorry for my rough English but I am French and far from being bilingual.😉
Hi there, I think most of the parts you would be able to get second hand, if not new. There is a company in Christchurch in the Uk called Britbits, and they have been amazing. Also Armour motors for Exhausts, they are in Winton, Bournemouth. There is a mail order company called Draganfly draganfly.co.uk/ too. They are a lovely simple motorcycle to work on.
I owned a C10 and C11. Used them off road.Good fun
I've heard people using them as classic trial bikes, that must be hard work!
Thanks for the video. Just done mine today although my bottle was behind the front light and was a right bugger to get to. My pump had fell apart and was leaking. £19 for a new one and all sorted. My local garage wanted £300 to sort it so I have saved quite a bit and only got one cut on my hand. Cheers.
Brilliant, i'm glad to have helped.
Love the colour and paint work finish, wheels are a great result. Keep up the good work and videos.
Thank you very much Chris!
Looking great mate
Thank you! Cheers!
The vinyl wrap is an interesting idea, will be curious on how it holds up. The red is a very good choice. Thanks for sharing.
If it lasts a year then it would be work the trouble of doing it again. It's very cheap and looks amazing.
Keep going Chris - really good stuff you are doing there 😎👍
Thank you Geoff
