I think the unnerving thing about the 511th Airborne is that the features on the right side of his face appear slightly larger than the left (the eye certainly) which - given his left shoulder is marginally forward - you'd expect the perspective to make the left-side features appear larger, not the right.

This sure seems like a funny expansion to me.

If anyone is wondering about 190th Guards, I think people noticed some of the sneak peak cards were AI generated including that one. 1939 released a statement that these are not the final artworks, and that the studio they are collaborating with was using these placeholders for composition and then redone more traditionally.

Hello thx for the nice content! May I ask you a question. when you try to fill the weekly box of rewards, each lvl gives u the same amount of progress or the higher the lvl the more progress you get? For example is it the same from 10 to 11 and from 100 to 101? I hope i made it clear for you to understand what I mean 😅

I don't like tanks that don't have blitz for SD. I prefer SU-100. I like 95th rifles more for targeted self damage rather then bloody sickle an order in a shibata meta. Also I like shibata in this deck since your already playing japan ally and SD lacks 1 drop units. I don't like to much island defense because you can brick by drawing this too early. But imagine drawing 4x island defense which you normally wont ever use unless your below 10 HP. I think one island defense is enough its just use as a panic button card anyway and with your fast deployment of big units early game your HQ will most likely remain un touch in the early game. Commit the reserves just why when SD already has a lot of removals you might as well just add push instead that's also a removal + you wont get the draw back in losing a kredit slot which hurts SD so much since how I play SD I prioritize speed.

Thanks for the deck guide. Tried it out and liking the change in playstyle from the Brit/US Air. I love that deck as well. Can't wait to see the next deck guide.

It's good they give us tools to fight back against oppressive, order-heavy decks out there such as push, retribution and to a lesser extent also commandos. The first two especially got way out of hand. Retribution often just feels like a swiss army knife, as you pointed out. Adding/reworking cards to loosen the grip those deck is a neat additional measure to counteract problematic cards (other than nerfing those cards themselves). However they might've overdone it with Shibata. I love the card, it's p much all I've been asking for the last couple of months, I remember myself saying "can't they just make Utsunomiya cheaper and lower it's stats?". But objectively speaking, Shibby punches way above it's weight and will probably see a few slight tweaks within the next couple of weeks/months. 🥲 Let's hope for the best!

It is badly costed card, but I think it's a necissisary card. It's deffinatly not what you want to see if you're running commando's. The increase in the number of cards with surpress will gradually fade it out. It is becoming hard to take a deck, which doesn't bring something to suppress annoying cards. Let's be honest. It's come in because of retributions. That mechanic just sucks. The thing that makes retributions suck more than the rest of it is that they are really not very well themed. A whole selection of sub cards that have no real bearing on WWII based on what ? Just some rage response, which deals more damage than a super fortress. In a bizarrely precise and efficient way 😂 Retributions broke theme, in my opinion. People who play mill decks would break any game you let them play. Its them who are broken not the cards lol😂

It exists because 1939 don’t balance the game and when they try they are clumsy and heavy handed. I thought this card was ‘mostly underwhelming’ to you anyway? 😃

@Bear_Gardner Great advice, I managed to climb from silver to FM with the improved deck. Pretty consistent and I must say that even if I don't draw blitz doctrine I still have a decent chance of winning the game purely through bodies. By the way, I started to play the game some time earlier and my starter deck was Germany/Italy. I tried building a deck around it (not Alpine), but it only carried me to silver. I took it as a challenge so wanted to ask, whether you have any idea if it's feasible to achieve similar results with such a deck?
