Sad, just pre-ordered the Collector's Edition (that globe with the magnet-plane looks awesome and so in keeping with the ip) before finding out the game is fp (and honestly, having now seen the game-play footage, really feeling the motion-sickness) ➡️ it will be an order-cancellation for me. Also agree whole-heartedly with all of the points you've made in the video! Why not just put the effort in and give the punters the choice to play the game in first OR third person as they wish. (not a question, doesn't get a ? ). 😔, very 😔.

The moment Barton passes Charlie a note with Barton’s parent’s address, a big peel of wall paper! There’s Bill Mayhew signing his book (written by Audrey) leading to an abusive tirade. Geisler’s secretary types more than anyone in the film. Our first shot of Barton he’s gripping a roll of paper tightly. The head in a box wrapped in brown paper. Gumshoe detectives taking notes on a pad of paper. Chet gives Barton paper “Chet”. Wallpaper burns in the halls. Paper will show you the life of the mind.

T2 is a better movie, but I prefer T1 more because it's a horror flixk. T1 is a slasher movie basically. The terminator is scary in T1. T2 definetly holds up, because they mixed the CGI with practical.

Agreed! Plus the action adventure game mechanics work so much better in third person than first person. Horrible decision.

Yeah, not even agreeing with this idea of apologetically liking them, "Oh, I know they're bad but I still like them because nostalgia." No. They're good scifi/fantasy films with amazing creativity in their worldbuilding and lore, and the overall story the trilogy tells is brilliant. They're also a shit ton of fun. The types of critiques that people lob at these films that they simply overlook for other blockbuster type of movies (looking at you, Avatar and MCU) is astounding, to me. And no, I don't think Plinkett's criticisms were valid. I've been watching response videos to his, addressing him point by point, and a lot of his critiques are weak and ignore key aspects of the films in order to make them. Honestly, yeah you are hitting the nail on the head. You can kind of see where a lot of ppl got their style from when doing video essays. These vids were so popular that they became rhe monolith on how to review something on youtube. Which was basically trashing a movie in a comedic way while trying to appear intelligent yet edgy. Its fostered a type of review stylr that can breed a lot of toxic fans, which is what happened. I remember in college if anyone would bring up the prequels, someone would say "watch the the plinkett reviews". This was actually really good

This hate of this movie needs to stop. This was a good movie. Sure not as good as the original three but not many movies are that good. Ppl need to just STFU about this movie

It's a movie that has some interesting stuff in it. But it's also a bit all over the place. I think they lay on the meta stuff a bit too thick as well. But it has John Goodman in a pretty great role so that alone makes it worth it.

As for Steven Spielberg having a mini crush on Karen Allen who doesn’t have a crush on her in Raiders? I know I do she’s hot in Raiders Of The Lost Ark

Raiders Of The Lost Ark is one of the greatest movies of all time and one of Spielberg’s best and my favorite Spielberg film. The characters are compelling and the performances are all great with Karen Allen being the standout as Marion Ravenwood my favorite character in the film and in the franchise and Marion is hot in the film. She’s the best love interest in the franchise. Harrison Ford Is Indiana Jones and John Williams’s score is epic. Steven Spielberg directs the film flawlessly. There’s no bad scene in the film

I am an old school Indie fan, and the fact that this is first person and exclusive to Xbox means that I will NEVER bother with this game, even if and when it finally arrives on PS5. A complete fail for Indie fans IMHO.

You didn't talk about John Carpenter's other alien movie, They Live (1988).

No mention of Vilmos Sigmunds extraordinary photography? Some of the best widescreen photography ever. I though Atherton and Hawn were extraordinary. Hawn, whilst on the surface doing her kooky schtick, as the movie goes on becomes more neurotic. I disagree that there are no typical Spielberg touches. The use of using local, non actors mirrors Jaws and Close Encounters. And the car to car scene between the fugitive and Ben Johnson is extraordinary...all done for real, with even the dialogue on the radio being real. Spielberg referenced this in a similar scene in War Of the Worlds with Cruise and family inside an RV, but that was CGI enhanced. And don't forget the dolly/zoom shot from inside the house at the end, which prefigured Jaws. This is a movie that often gets pegged as a wacky, car chase comedy. But for me there is more to it than that. I saw it on first release, and have always had a soft spot for it.

I didn't know this movie existed until I bought a Steven Spielberg collection a few years ago. I saw a picture of Goldie Hawn holding a gun, and that made me want to watch it.

If you’re a native Texan from that area between Houston, San Antonio, and the Mexico border, it’ll be a lot of eye candy and life in that area in 1973 during late winter. It was real and filmed in real locations! The shootout with those lunatics trying to kill them was at an old long gone drive in on Military Drive, back when the south side of San Antonio was mostly a blue-collar area, not a ghetto.

I play on PlayStation and was looking forward to the game coming to PlayStation after Microsoft announced the change to the ports of the game I still wanted to see it after it was announced and honestly it’s disappointing it’s not coming to PlayStation but I don’t know why it is first person it is a huge mistake because like others and the guy in the video I want to see him I want to see him in combat so sadly I won’t be buying an Xbox to try it.

Will not purchase that game. Todd Howard is behind it and the previous games he has released have been dog shit. Neither am i interested in woke garbage that seems to be filled into it. Indiana Jones is not Wolfenstein so too have it in first person is just to dumb it down make it more action like. Indiana Jones is all about puzzle solving its not Doom...

They should have an option to switch between first and third person.

For emersion purposes, i prefer first person, but i do feel there should be the option in all of these types of games.

100% Indy's enemys are generic. In fact Tomb Raider & Uncharted have much better development So why make a game where you not only see Indy but be Indy? We remember Nathan Drake because we react to his movements, pain & joy. Making a 1st person Indy game defeats the purpose Same with a 1st person Batman Atkham game. Plus all the finesee & nuance is gone
