Not to be an ass but you lost all credibility once you began comparing it to FF7. That alone showed your review isn't impartial. You barely talked about the game. Almost the whole review is comparing it to FF7. This review didn't tell me anything I wanted to know about the game.

I was also expecting a bit more of an emphasis on the parallel universes stuff when Iris started bringing it up, but tbh after the whole Zero Escape series was focusing heavily on this concept I’m kinda glad they didn’t bring too much attention to this here. The idea wouldn’t surprise the player as much as it did in previous games, might’ve end up a bit boring.

My only gripe with the remake is how the battle scene with the wanzers just standing is really bad even compared to the original, they should just added a dynamic entrance to the wanzers like the 2 game did.

Can anyone that has got the switch version verify if there is japanese audio like in the steam version?

with SRW games I come for the Gundams and end up enjoying most of the other characters even though i tend to be less familiar with them

For robot upgrade, my personal choice are depend on the type of the mech, namely, whether they are Real or Super robot Real robot are the robot that generally have average to high mobility with average atk power, for example, robot from pretty much all robot from Gundam series, Code Geass and MC main robot are fall into this category, for these type of robot I would upgrade their mobility 1st and then other stat depend on robot Super robot are those Heavy hitter but low to average mobility, pretty much all robot that always yell the name of their atk are fall into this category, for these type, I would rather upgrade their armor 1st since they are slow then why bother evade, these guy can tank any dmg all day long and still standing. (I can have my Mazinger Z go solo in swarm of enemy, tank every atk and still no scratch when he wipe out all enemy solo) There are those who I not sure whether they are Real or Super, mainly who come from Gridman and Ultraman series, never use Ultraman but I upgrade Gridman toward Mobility.

Watched this as a recap before playing AINI (the science on top is nice too, I actually watched all the way to the end)... but man. I didn't expect to start crying (again) when you went over how dimentia was depicted. 🥲

People are spoiled on 'modernity' and expect every 'remake' to be like FF7R or RE2 REmake... Spoiled little shits.

This game is part of the autumn sale, I bought it, and was blown away by how great it actually is, and the patches and difficulty improvements like allowing you to grind. Looking forward to getting aome healing skills so I can breathe easier😅

A few extra notes/corrections: 1. I am aware I was calling Wartales "Wartale" the whole time. My apologies, late night recording. 2. The title was released in 2021. Again another fried brain moment. 3. I am aware that patches are releasing soon / already out. I will continue to monitor adjustments and take another look at this game after a month or so.

I need to add something you didn't include in the vid. Knowing the true ending makes mizuki and Ota ending much much worse In Mizuki ending, everything is fine as the true culprit actually died but... Don't forget that in every timeline renju dies, it is actually Iris that died which means the Iris in the Mizuki ending is actually So Sejima inside. Ota ending is much worse, worse than annihilation ending. In annihilation ending, it at least ends with us knowing who the true culprit is AND apprehending him... But in the Ota End, true culprit is still alive AND inside boss' body(proven by the fact that we see So inside the vase who is actually Boss), free to do whatever he wants. And also Ota calls Iris his girlfriend who is actually So Sejima which is just disturbing.

Yeah you are right. I heard people state that Front Mission 1's story is "basic" and stuff when that's not true. There are good stories and bad stories, Front Mission 1 has a good story. Many Japanese stories revolve around tropes, I don't find it bad in a game that is a strategic game first and foremost, if the story is not trying to bring the moon down. If it be a RPG I would expect a little bit more, because the game basically revolves around the story mainly. As for Tactics Ogre Reborn, I like it. Graphically it is great, the one and only thing I don't like is the RNG in "Auto-Skills" activation(I'd rather have the TPs back to be used) and I don't care that much about those Cards that spawn. Otherwise I like it, it's great. The one thing I would have liked to see in it though, is a Final Fantasy Tactics like 360 degree camera movement possibility.

Will you review front mission 2 and 3 remake when it comes out. Also front mission 1 pc and other ports are coming out,and they seem to be more good, graphics are good, some more stuff is added. Tho only demo is available as of now on PC

13 sentinel is slept on and didnt expect that to be number 1 but it is phenomenal

I remember beating this game on the PS2 when it first came out. I didn't really like it, but still muscled thru.

Xenoblade 3 was my favorite too, but the end of the game didn't leave me as satisfied as Xeno 2, but I'm still looking forward to the dlc. I'm currently playing 13 Sentinels and I'm loving it. From what I saw about The DioField Chronicles I think I will like it so I probably will try it. Keep it up!.

One of my earliest anime fan memories was checking out .Hack//SIGN with my cousin when I had to spend the afternoon at his place after school. I got CHILLS when you mentioned In the Land of Twilight Under the Moon, actually. Checked out this review because it's currently on sale in the Nintendo eshop and I wanted to get something for my birthday next month. This has absolutely convinced me seeing how much content we get.

Thanks so much for this detailed and honest review! Your content is always top notch! I must say, I was kind of waiting for your channel’s thoughts on this game before deciding on my purchase. The fact is that most websites and youtube channels completely misunderstood this game and hence the reporting on Redemption Reapers has been unfair and unhelpful towards SRPG fans. In general, I find non-SRPG fans simply don’t get the genre and hence mainstream appreciation of these games tends to biased downwards. But in the case of Redemption Reapers the phenomenon seems to be exacerbated by the “rogue-like” approach that you touched upon in your review. The only other channel I saw that covered this game properly would be 89 Games. You should check out their content on it. As for Redemption Reapers, I think this one will be worth buying physically. Binary Haze Interactive is a publisher worth supporting. Ender Lilies was incredibly good, and their physical release came all patched up, so required no additional downloads, unlike the vast majority of physical releases these days. Buy this game, people!
