Where is it now?
Where is it now?
Cosford Museum, UK.
Never knew this ever happened.
I wonder if this aircraft is still able to run the engines? What a beauty!
The engines don't run and it's internally incomplete. Overall it wasn't looked after that well.
What an intresting DB-engine sound! Oh if it could take off...🤗
What a beautiful beast.
my right ear loved this
Wow, just wow.
ou wow :)wye is this not in german museums ???????????' !! :( has USA stolen it ?? :(
Been in the UK for years.
Probably the only video on TH-cam of a db 603 running and there’s two of them!
+@AC-op4dg Correct, and this aircraft is no longer started.
@@FiveCentsPlease that’s a pity, would die for some higher quality recordings
@@AC-op4dg A few of the Flugwerk Fw-190A replicas are moving toward Fw-190D conversion with Allison V12s. There are some DB-603s around and I'm surprised that nobody has considered a Fw-190D replica with DB-603 as an alternative to a rare and expensive Jumo 213. Kurt Tank preferred the DB-603 but could not get them during the war.
È il 410 conservato nel RAF museum? la musica dei 2 DB 603 è fantastica
It's been in Cosford Museum for years in the UK.
Dieses Diebesgut gehört wieder zurückgegeben!
Яке видавництво виготовляє модель цього літака з паперу 1-33.??????
Such a cool looking twin engine interceptor.
Where is this aircraft now? It will be nice to see it fly again. Great Sound!
+@ ralfvelmer2098 It hasn't flown since WW2 and it is internally incomplete. It was moved from RAF Museum St. Athan and was on display at RAF Museum Cosford a few years ago. They do not start the engines anymore.
Bezos & Gates should be funding warbirds.
Supercharger sound. Herrlich!!!!
Whilst its in one piece make a few copies to fly. Don't trust it to the yanks because there'll trash it it like the Dallas crash.
+@ludo9234 There is another Me-410 in the storage area of the Smithsonian. Take a look at this one again and notice the squared-off propeller tips. At some point, the aircraft got tipped and some genius decided that the best way to deal with it was to just cut off the tips rather than fixing the prop. The cockpit and electronics are also gutted, so the Brits didn't really take care of this one either. I doubt there will ever be a 410 flying, but the newest 3D tools and manufacturing will make it much easier to rapid prototype and build parts to restore aircraft.
Sounded like that starboard engines supercharger was shredding itself
Awesome 👍✈️
Wow. Great! 👍🏼
Wow!
How does something so bad sound so fucking good? It can look good all it wants BUT WHY DOES IT HAVE TO SOUND EVEN BETTER?
my left ear loved this
Amazing how much those engines sound like the ones on a 109. I guess they are DB 603s after all.
Zwilling version of me109. Just noticed the propeller hub
i don't think the BF-109 had the same engines
@@tB3o3tR9o9 It did not. The Me-410 has DB-603 engines with the extended reduction gear.
If i had a penny for every museum modification this bird has seen i`d be pennies in heaven.
+ mybluebelly A least experts today can fix the props, or construct accurate replacements pretty easily. These captured aircraft were jumbled and repainted and perhaps one day some of them can be given forensic restorations to wartime condition. The expertise is available now, so it's just time and money.
I reckon I might well have been in that crowd of people as an excited 8 year old! We used to go and watch both that 410 and the twin seat 190 get started up, always remember it was so load!!! They used to have an amazing collection of rare WW2 stuff there. There was a ME163 and some Japanese twin engine fighter there as well wasnt there?
Beautiful plane
Supercharged masterpieces . Could be a DB 603 or 605 there , but it was nevertheless the biggest WW2 inverted German V12 airplane engine at the time . en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daimler-Benz_DB_603
AWESOME...!!!
Bad bearing?
Superchargers I think ...... my race car have the same whine , but much smaller engine --- 😀
Sounds like the fan belt’s slipping.
supercharger sounds , my friend . en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daimler-Benz_DB_603
I'm truly amazed to see one of these machines survived being scrapped. I always liked this plane, but its a good thing it didn't work that well for the Luftwaffe.
+ Paul Kent The Smithsonian also has an example in storage. The museum has a lot of rare Luftwaffe stuff but it may be another generation before it can pulled out for restoration.
Is that a Canberra in the background? Interesting to consider that the Canberra's first flight was only a few years after the 410's first flight. Chalk and cheese.
sympa ...
💪💪💪💪👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
Such a rare beast and nice to hear one power up... shame I wasn't alive when she did engine runs. Still, that supercharger scream... stunning!
This plane is nearly 80 years old now... Good to see it was still running at least 40 years ago =)
I saw the same thing - engines being run-up in St Athans as a kid in the 80's
ШмелЁчек!)
What are they, Jumos or DBs
+ Anthony Xuereb DB-603 engines.
@@FiveCentsPlease thanks for that
Nice aircraft would like to see a junkers 88 flying always liked that aircraft.
Truly amazing!
That supercharger is menacing! Sad that these planes are so rare
Sta.. Stalin.. How could you betray the motherland
So sexy. For some reason I think of the 410 as a WW2 flyable version of a Mercedes Benz CL65 coupe. (Or S class coupe depending on what year it was made)
DB605 engines?
+ Allan Davidson DB-603.
What a trash
Very nice, could you do a strafing run and a dogfight with a B1 bomber?
This ME 410 has a great whistle sound.
