This will be my Arknights channel where I'll (probably) mainly upload Integrated Strategies content.
[Arknights] : Analyzing Claymantic's IS2 run - Part 2
This is an analysis of Clay's second "true" IS2 run, he honestly did much better than his previous one, still making some basic mistakes here and there but pretty crazy he managed to reach Lucian with his second ever run!

[Arknights] : Analyzing Claymantic's IS2 run - Part 1

This is an informative video made for new players including Clay to explain what he did wrong, what he could improve and what are the mistakes he shouldn't do again.
[Arknights] : How to play Integrated Strategies - Pick what you need.
มุมมอง 9079 วันที่ผ่านมา
This video explains what you should pick in IS: a bit of everything at first then specialize according to your relics and to the boss you want to kill. It isn't supposed to showcase a hard run, this will come later. Also, notice how I talk a bit about managing Hope and Ingots, I will do "overexplained" videos to show you in detail but IS2 isn't a good showcase for that.

Teachin you how to play Integrated Strategies in Arknights. Here, the basics. PP from roNE on X : x.com/3RD_01
As someone who's literally on 5-4 of the main story, I like watching these and having a vague idea of what's going on based on that one time I played IS at 3am, not knowing what it is
Pick walter and you win
35:40 mystic caster S1 increase ASPD but reduce their range and only last a few sec, so the idea is that you use it with no enemies in range to charge full stack again quickly, it doesn't work the oposite of what they want, it's just very cluncky and their other skills are usualy better anyway.
I understood this right away when I started using Indigo, surprised he doesn’t realize.
Honestly my biggest mistake is calling them "blast casters" bruh 💀
I just got to Phantom on my second IS run and lost to him leaking, yeah definitely feel for Clay I survived on my last life like 3 times. Wis'adel couldn't carry me at the end.
5:48 I meant Meteor's S1, I have brain damage And 35:45 I meant Mystic casters, not blast
So what happened to IS1? I'm a new player so I'm curious, did they remove it or something?
it was a temporary mode that got released with Eunectes event and wasn't supposed to become permanent, however it was so successful that they decided to revamp it and we got IS2 (then later on the others)
Then Clay literally made a response video for this lmao
Clay never tries experimenting/reading, then says "how am I supposed to know?"
That’s why he’s the Arknights
Keep doing good work.
I mean, that's a great video full of usefull tips, but since you mention it's aimed at new players this over-abondance of OP E2 90 M3 6stars kinda defeat the point IMO, the issue for newer player is typicaly that they don't have that many options, especialy at that level of investment, so this is just rubbing your money on their faces x)
@@kevinseraphin5456 yeah that's a good point, the issue is most of my units that are built are well... Well built in fact. I'm thinking about making an alt account, entirely f2p with limited pulls and play IS with this for a "true" new player experience, but that's absolutely a valid point
@@Dr.Pitanger I mean, you can't realy truly replicate a true new player experience no matter what you do, since knowledge is probably the biggest part of IS anyway (or any rogue-like for that matter), plus I imagine the point is not to do a step by step but moreso to give general advices on how to improve your chances of winning and how to make better decisions, so it's fine :p I'm just thinking about it but there's also the skill tree that gives pretty huge buffs that new players don't have as well x)
@kevinseraphin5456 true, though I still have an idea of making a series where I play "like a new player" (well plus the current experience I have as you said) where I would be playing in "masochist" mode like some content creators do for Yu-Gi-Oh for example, that means only being able to pull like once every 5 stages cleared or something and use the units I get in IS, I think that could be entertaining
a bit off topic but i actually laughed histerically when i saw how much Originites you got
I actually had almost 3k not too long ago but decided to farm a LOT whenvh14 dropped cause I wanted to E2 a lot of my 5*...
Wtf even if i too like women, not upgrading a single man is crazy and fun lmaooooooooo respect bro dosn't need to touch grass he need the whole amazonian forest i'm so dead, thank you 🤣🤣🤣🤣
and as a IS enjoyer (gameplay and lore wise, this is nice video)
@@ARKMerry I've been stuck in my basement more than a whole R6 team in the control center bruh 💀
Bruuhhh
Nice vid, but wanted to point out the video seems to be stretched vertically.
It is, that's because I've no idea how to capture footage without stretching it unfortunately
clay better watch this
😂
Clay, while watching this, "i make bad choices to make the game more challenging, obviously." ;)
This Claymantics guy seems like a real loser...wait a minute...
why looking at IS2 so nostalgic to me now...
@@kazuki6818-e7r same for me tbf, hadn't played it in a while
Gravel does do something in IS2. Use her against playwright like how you’d use her against Faust. She can also alleviate some pressure off the teddy bear boss and allow more flexible deployment. You can deploy her in Jessleton’s stage to push some enemies into your operator’s range. And I think there’s a bomb drone stage she can be used to bait the bomb. Even later on in high ascension she’s still used against IS4 boss in ending 4. You can use her to block the red king and draw the nuke there. She can actually tank a few attack from the red king so she’s actually the best executor for that role. She can also be used to stall the yellow king after red king died by push deploying during its attack animation and retreat before it use dash skill.
@@ศกรโสมาภา IS4 has so many HP/def item that I don't think you should spend a specialist voucher for her, also anybody can be a bait if I'm being honest, it's not like we're in CC2 era anymore where we absolutely need an aggro bait. I guess she's not completely useless but specialist has so many good units I would never consider taking her over other units, maybe as an E1 as the last unit I suppose (if she's going to be useless for most alleyfights except one bomber drone one and only do something during bosses I'm only picking her last, is what I mean)
@ It’s ending dependent. Ending 1-3 you don’t need her but ending 4 you absolutely cannot let Red King nukes hit your unit (it does up to 17200 physical damage which can oneshot even your defenders) and while some of your units can somewhat tank Yellow King nukes you kind of don’t want to test if your unit can survive being one shot by that. The thing is, when you try to block the Red King (to control both his nuke and Yellow King nuke) he’d slap you for almost 2k damage while the mini Faust archer that spawns 3 at a time shoot whatever you put to block for 1300 each. Anything short of a defender would die very quickly unless your relics are very good. Unless you want to rely on rng dodge, Gravel offer the longest time possible for executor. And you kind of need executor for this job because the nuke has 30 seconds cooldown. Even stat wise, Gravel is also the 2nd most picked specialist unit for successful ascension 15 ending 4 runs (this stat is before Ela comes out. Now that Wiz and Logos comes out I expect her pick rate to go down a lot because you don’t have to Ceobe the boss anymore making it less likely for Yellow King nukes to hit your team).
@@ศกรโสมาภา Honestly I've always nuked the boss with Ray + fowlbeast shenanigans or other characters that burst like Kay, Typhon and so on, never encountered this issue myself of having to "rely" on a Gravel but I'll take your words for it Also keep in mind I'm talking in the perspective for a new player, and while I've done BN15 I have only "farmed" BN12, where Gravel doesn't serve much purpose really
@ also possible to use Ray to kill the boss. But if you go that route you also need Warfarin and another +100% damage (approximately) from other source because the boss have much higher def. Once Ela comes out I start going that route more often because it’s easier to fulfill the +100% damage condition but still, can’t guarantee it every times. And I mean, if you have Ceobe built, she’s probably 90% of the times your best dps for red king. (Again, because higher ascension = higher def = higher Ceobe dmg. Thankfully there’s no res buff like is3)
@ศกรโสมาภา you don't really "need" anybody tbh, if you get some def ignore relics and ranged/physical atk increase (that includes fowlbeast) they both melt, add to that the relics that give layers of shield and she cab solo them both easily (you can use other ops like surtr ir degen to kill the other in the meantile, never failed me), of course units like warf help though
I have a ton of experience playing IS as well! (Besides IS1 because sadly I didn’t join Arknights until after.) I have almost the same completion as you, except I only have all endings with all squads completed in IS4 (since it is my current favorite and has much easier bosses to defeat to me). I was waiting to beat the others until I got a max difficulty ending completion for every IS, which I just did lvl 15 for IS3 (with W Alter’s help, but to be fair to myself I had already completed lvl 14 before I got her) and am now trying to get it for IS4 every day. Edit: All of my completions for IS4 aren’t on high difficulty though… I only cared about getting the little medal icon at all for each squad. But if I really care I’ll do higher ascensions for them when I max out the other IS squad choices. Edit 2: I finally cleared difficulty 15 for IS4! W alter really is broken-the first time I got a run where I used her and got her to E2, I cleared it right away (despite floor 5 having a layout I have never experienced before because of the level 12 effect). Now I’m working to get all of the squad medallions for IS2 and onward.
omg pathfinder fin that's the relic that actually made me give up on getting every single relic
@@NikkiTheViolist it's okay, only took me 20 hours of doing nothing but floor 1 and crying between runs.
@@Dr.PitangerAt least you were that fortunate. I did runs for _months_ completing the third floor boss, _months_ of also completing Tulip’s tasks for the guaranteed relic pulls, and _months_ of grinding levels at low light level hoping maybe _that_ could get me the relic. Until I finally caved (since I try not to do this) and I asked the AK discord server how to get it. I had assumed the whole time it was a medium or even somehow a high rarity relic. I thought the Arknights wiki must have been wrong due to me not being able to get it. 😞 And the cruelest irony is that it only took about an hour of farming the first floor shop after I got my answer from the discord server until I got it. 😭
"There's basically no vanguard that deals arts damage" Reed: *tear* I completely forgot that in IS2 the way you got chests was to keep enemies from walking over them. On the twins I always kill the archer 1st then use some kind of slow/CC with ranged DPS to kill the swordsman.
yeah that's usually the best tactic, but since the swordsman is kinda fast it can be punishing sometimes. Also yeah Reed and Chiave exist but if you really need Reed or Chiave your run is probably doomed :(
@@Dr.Pitanger I am mostly being tongue in cheek because they tried to make Reed's gimmick arts damage but didn't fully understand how bad mixed physical and arts damage is at the time. I agree that if you're using Reed for your source of arts damage, while it's better than nothing, you're probably going to struggle.
Blacknight, vigil, mueleyes and texas who also do arts damage: _in shambles_
@@virgondust Vigil bruh But yeah Texas and BK are the closest things to being "good arts damage vanguards" (particularly BK who I really like in IS for a lot of bosses because of her sleep). And wait, Mumu deals art damage? Edit : oh youy mean the flower shape when copying an arts damage dealer, true, I think I really need to play her more I usually skip 6* vanguards that aren't named Ines
yup! and in IS3, you have to kill them! same with IS4.
Should I build My Ethan? Is he good in any of the IS? Looking forward to the next video as well, I am bad when it comes to Managing ingots in ISs.
Basically no 4/5* is worth building in IS beside the one I mentionned, (edit : Kroos alter in IS3 too but that's it) Ethan can be an interesting tech units for some specific bosses (most notably the 2nd boss of IS3) but he's in a weird spot where picking him early is extremely bad (you want block in the early game, particularly for IS4) and in late game a lot of units do what he does but better. Also he has almost no relic synergy beside the Puppet like relics (that are among the worst one in the game) so meh. I'll make a complete tier list at some point.
@Dr.Pitanger I see, Thank you for explaining that.
@@DamnBlur As an aside, if you really want to build a 4* specialist in IS, build Jaye imo. He works well in IS2, struggles a bit in IS3 due to all the overing enemies and in IS4 due to it being very AOE reliant but is still much better than Ethan in the early game.
@@Dr.PitangerAlright. I do like his character design. I won't mind spending some resources on him.
Ethan is good in IS, but I would tend to agree that he isn't selected particularly often unless you happen to get a series of specialist vouchers. In general specialist is one of the most stacked classes for IS so there's going to be a lot of competition for that voucher. Also, he doesn't really hit his peak until you have his module though there are some relics that can make him work great even w/o his module. I also agree that Jaye is one of the best 4* in IS but be wary when using him that you do have to be very thoughtful for when you play him. Once you start using him you'll see what I mean but in some stages with some teammates you get into this catch 22 where you need to get a blocker down immediately but if you play Jaye then your DP will be locked out the rest of the stage and you can't retreat him because you need to block. So it ends up being either leak at the start or leak at the end. Don't let that discourage you from using him though because he's so strong that he can solo a lot of enemies that would tear up your entire squad.
Great video. Can't wait for the next part. ❤
I hope Clay watches this, but let's be honest... his attention span is too short :"D
