    We born at the same year, but i only started driving alone on my 13th, been driving fast whenever i could when there was no trafic in countryside gravel roads. Also the most experience i had was with front wheel drive vehicles. As you said around the middle of your video, and that applys to all kind of terrain, but on gravel and slippery roads, is where you understand how FWD really works. Unlike RWD where you might need to apply a countersteer to maintain the front where you want on the exit of the corner, the FWD doesn't require that if you enter on the right line at the right speed and the most important at the right GEAR, you simply keep the wheels straight and give the right amount of throttle. The counter steer on FWD can be used but if you keep for more time than is needed, the result may be really bad for you, well i could say a lot more about the fun i have with this kind of vehicle, but i came here just to share a bit of the opinio i have based on the few years i have driving fast front wheel drive. Unlike you i've never had the opportunity to race or work with that, but i've been on many dangerous roads trying to improve my skills for the sake of fun.

    I always hear that you should race with lower tyre pressures because as the race goes on the pressures will keep increasing but when I race on ACC, my tyres reach optimum pressure (+\-.5 psi) with 3 laps and then I can maintain the same pressures for the whole stint. Am I doing something wrong? I don’t feel like I lose much grip through the stint and as the fuel comes down im improving my lap time.

      I've never driven fast a FWD with rear steering, but I reckon the technique should stay the same and if anything you would have less issues in rotating the car, potentially avoiding a very aggressive set up and therefor keeping the car more balanced in high speed

    Ive gotten my alu rig recently and was looking for the best explanation of seating positon, because I wasn't quite comfortable. And this is so far the best explanation out here. Very clear, very straight to the point and showing examples. And as it turns out, what you get into at 3:13 is exactly why I wasn't comfortable and what I need. So I have a p1x and hk sprints with that same baseplate and slider. I get left knee pain after an hour long race at 50kg on the brake pedal. What should I do? Raise the pedal plate? I have my seat already with back at the lowest and front st the highest. Even have lumbar support so my back is flat against the seat at all times with no space

    • @alexfontana1873
      @alexfontana1873 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, definetely raise the pedals. If you are running with the seat already titlted backwards but the pedals aren't high enough, the leg will be too much bent and therefore when you press hard on the brake the knee cap gets too much stress and pushes outward causing pain. The higher and more in line the ankles will get, the less knee pain you will suffer.
