Great review, I have just purchased a set up to use on my dewalt table saw. I agree with every one of your comments. I will be trying to find alternative clamps to hold the fence, the Dewalt fence made it difficult for the camps to drop down as far as I would have like and were longer than it needed in my case. The pads on the bottom of the fence dragged and I ended up pack t up when fixing it to Dewalt fence. I did find that the feather boards didn't actually need that much pressure on the board to work properly. The push stick was a little long for my case and I have ordered the shorter version. I believe that I'm only likely to set it up for use on projects that involve cutting a lot of the same cut. Time will tell. It's a small thing but it did look like the board you were cutting in your demonstration had a fair bow, it's possible that it may contributed to the drag when pushing the board through. It was a fair hit to the bank account so I hope it will be a useful addition to the workshop. Happy dust making to all.

No I had the Craftsman 12 inch planer/molder That sold in the early 2000 for 799.99 The blade set was over 200 dollars There was three sets A standard set which was the largest 17 blades You could mix and match 3 in a crown molding set And picture frame set of 7 It was awesome Made by DeWalt under Craftsman specs, and I had every Craftsman shaper blade for it And many other shaper blades fit it and I even had blanks to Make my own designs But times we're tough the first Obama years and I had to sell it. Nowadays I have a Bouer 12 in planer and I'm happy with it. It's not as robust as the DeWalt, but this gets the job done and it was Cheep with the build quality of being good and the Blades are cheep and I'm doing pine or pressure treated so they lasted quite a while. If I was doing a lot of hard woods?, I'd get a DeWalt Note to self Look for craftsman planer/ molder for sale on the net.

I have an 18,000 BTU "Mr Heater" ventless RADIANT propane powered heater. (Radiant as opposed to an open blue flame type). I use it to heat a 400 sq ft bedroom with 10 ft ceilings at the beach in Baja Mexico. It runs full time in Winter (with thermostat set on low). It has NEVER caused ANY SOOT...ever and there has NEVER been any odor of any kind from! It has an internal oxygen depletion sensor and also a carbon monoxide sensor. I have never had an issue of any kind with it! I wish I could find one with an electronic starter to get rid of the pilot light but only to save on propane as it works great! The heater shown in the video must be a real piece of junk to cause those issue....especially the soot!

His testing is quite thorough and well done. It is nice to see more information about exterior screws and learn more about their backgrounds.

sorry my friend , but sabre saws and reciprocating saws are all obsolete tools now. They are demolition tools, but lets be honest. When you have to cut through a steel rod or thick wires, you will always use a big angle grinder. When it comes to big logs , you will use a chainsaw to do the work in a matter of seconds instead of minutes that a reciprocating saw will need. These tools are and will only be used for small twigs and tree branches , nothing more. And even for that small tasks , there are now handheld mini chainsaws that will do the work faster than a sabre saw. Really, i don't know for how long they are going to make sabre saws, they are totally irrelevant nowdays that is why they are trying to breathe new life into them with the ridiculus new attachments in a last effort to make them useful somehow.

I have a 5yr old AO Smith. I've seen other tutorials which say to remove the wrap around air filter to wash it in the sink. Once removed, you can use a plastic brush to brush under the water heater to clear the possibly clogged filter tray near the flame guard. Then, you reapply the air filter back. But I'm not so sure my air filter can be removed. Its hard to see with the drip pan along the edge.

keep in mind that a vent-less heater also consumes oxygen, and when the oxygen is depleted, combustion is not complete. This generates more Carbon Monoxide (CO) and soot.

I have no idea if pawls will stop a board from shooting back, but kickback "ejection" usually happens on the backside of the blade. The wood moves onto the backside of the blade, gets pinched by the fence and the back of the blade and shoots back. So not sure about "front side" of blade theory.

The bleach will do the same without the TSP. When washing the house, be sure to rinse windows good… don’t let TSP sit on the glass for too long or you will have a residue that you can’t get out unless you buff with a ceramic stove top cleaner.
