We build out a little camper van after years of dreaming about it. It took three years and ended up needing to get help, but we're happy with the result. I have since sold the van and am looking to do it all over again!

Love how she manage to install a shower in her set up 👍👍👍.
no loo?????
@@bevfnq no loo, no poo
Great job, I’ve just started up my own van build recently so I will be doing something very similar. I love the pillow kitchen was thinking of putting this at the side door behind the front seat. What do you think?
Hello,, from America. I love to follow car and van lifer's. This is better than paying expensive rent's.
what are some good auction sites to use when purchasing something like this?
@@matthewbarra5438 pickles auctions (they may have changed names) and grays online are ones I’d check out. Make sure you get a mechanic to check vehicles you’re seriously interested in bidding on
I am 6 foot I don’t know how that would work for me🎉🎉🎉🎉
Probably not the ideal setup for you! Cooking indoors would be a struggle, but it's pretty comfy when you're laying or sitting down.
LOVE IT!!
❤
How come is your fridge door opening on the wrong side?
@@benoitauclair2460 I agree this isn’t ideal. But it’s the only way I could get it to work and still open fully. The wall would block the full range of motion only opening to 90°, with the shelves it was a bit awkward to get stuff out. If I have my time again I’d space the fridge off the wall a bit.
Cool 👍
@@prikoljnaja thanks 🤩 😃
❤
amazing video mate! thanks for sharing all your van build experiences.
Thanks! Hopefully it helps with your fan changing project!
Speed running van tours!
Skipping the bs of showing you through the contents of the drawers.🤣 That said. There is a full tour on my channel… 🧐
Simply fantastic 😊
Is this a transit connect?
@@twoowlsregenerativemedia159 it’s the normal ford transit, not the connect. I have the medium where base and medium roof.
Lush.
Lush setup.
@@alicequayle4625 lush indeed. 😜
Very nice. The bed is great. Very quick to change. Also love the magnet shower. For me I'd tweak it with maybe a pullout mini chest fridge. But excellent and spacious.
Well done👍
How do you cook during bad weather??
@@MissAllyson707 We use a little portable stove. Propane camping stove
When you let the divine guide you, you lose the fear and start to live as we were all meant to, This universe instills so much fear Mongering that we forget to live our purpose.... people like this inspire me so much and makes me crave that beautiful existence even more.... earth angels truly 🙏💗
Yuh know yuh can change that fridge door from left opening to right aye😮
It doesn't open all the way because the fridge door bumps into the bulkhead wall. Bit of an oversight on my part... but ya live and ya learn! Thanks for the heads up though!
This is really awesome 😎👍. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Zak! I appreciate the comment. You looking to build one yourself?
@@loicleray My wife and I have talked about it. It's sort of just a dream at this point. When she finishes school in a couple years, working from home/anywhere would be a possibility for her. We have both always had a bit of wander lust. With that said we'll see what happens 😀. For now I'm just checking out different van builds and listening to different people's experiences. Getting a sense for cost/which type of vehicle etc. I'm definitely having fun thinking about it all 👍.
@@Zak_How Awesome! I hope you're able to make it happen. It's a nice life style for the right type of person. Difficult when it's cold and wet, but amazing when the sun pops out and nature is at your doorstep! Good luck with it! Feel free to reach out with any questions and I'll try my best to help out.
Where yer dunny ? :)
Only few of ur videos are u real person I don't think so
I have seen couple of videos and i have seen u reply to their comments also
Thanks for watching! 😬
Unbelievable u reply to all massage with their names
Hi Naga! 😉
Due u really reply to all the comments surprising
I see you’ve left a comment on a few of my videos. Hello! 😉
U have lots of subscriber's but u have few videos u r not the real person I think so
Come on, change the hinges on the frig to open the correct way. Please.
Unfortunately I already tried and it doesn’t open fully. 🙃
Where do you shower
There is an outdoor shower, connects to the hose port at the back of the van and sticks to the side of the van with magnets. There's a longer video on my channel that shows it in action. 😁
Smart
That is not a minivan!! Ford transit is much more!! But nice build!
“Just a van” to some and an adventure machine to others 😉

Loiiiic maaaate, it looks great! wheres all the highline gear?
Howdy howdy! It’s all in there. Those black tubs make it hard to spot. Hope you’re doing well Roberto!
Hey Loic. Hope you’re well and happy. So glad to see that you have finished your van. Love it. You did a great job. I’ve have sold my big van and have just finished building another van in a new 4motion Transporter. A different beast, but love the new van. Laters. Bruce.
So nice to hear from you! Keen to see it! I'll send you a message =)
Take it easy on the adderall mate 😂😂🎉
To save space, a chaise mattress(connected cushions that fold out on the floor into a narrow "mattress" at night, and during the day fold into a "couch chair") seems more appropriate here. It would provide space for a camper's toilet that u can place within a shower curtain cylinder to take sit-down showers in, on top of a floor water tray of course, unless that combo is available for purchase already.
Yeah those are pretty epic setups too! You see similar layouts in a lot of smaller vans like the hiaces. I was keen to have a fair bit of semi-permanent storage though. Lots of climbing and outdoor type gear I didn’t want to dance around. This is what fitted my needs. I do like the connected cushion idea though. Haven’t seen too many of those in DIY builds.
Where's the dishwasher?
You’re looking at him. 🙃
Thoughts on the sound deadening panels? Worth it or regular insulation would do the same?
I think it was worth it. Even with partial installation the difference in vibration noise was significant, especially when driving. Way more quiet riding when empty, more quiet when sleeping near busy roads. That said, depending on your choice of insulation you will notice it also dampens sound, but to a fat lesser degree. In my opinion it’s too expensive to fully line the interior of the van, 20% of the coverage gets 80% of the results.
Wow amazing!!!if you're interest about these things, look at my camper, the smallest in the world th-cam.com/video/xWPr_HdCJwc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=z0tgOBEgBpThuxPj
What the name this van ?
This is a 2012 ford transit, mid wheel mid roof. I named it Migaloo though
@@loiclerayand how tall are you?

Thanks! It took forever to get there, but it is done!!!!
Nice rig
Thanks Stephane! 🥳✌️
Well done and congrats! Hard work paid off, looks mint!
Thanks Sam! After 3+ years I’m stoked that it’s finally done! ✅
Great design, man! Wild to see such nit-picky negativity in the comments. Credit goes to the man in the arena, nevermind the critics.
I appreciate it man. It's been interesting seeing how people respond to the set up. Definitely some mistakes made, but that's bound to happen on the first attempt. Should have an extended tour our soon which addresses some of the comments/questions these vids have been getting. You looking to build one yourself?
why are you barefoot ewwwwwwwww
What did you use for the cabinets to stay up
I'm assuming you mean the overhead cabinets? Two options; (1) screwed directly into metal framing or "ribs" of the van with self tapping screw s, or (2) wood framing attached to van ribs and then cabinets attached to that.
