@@mr.deathly2105 I’ve not played 3 unfortunately, but consumed a fair amount of YT content on it. Heard great things about 3. I’m just glad to have access to an Arma game finally on console!

3 is more of a sandbox-focused experience while reforger is more of a mp-focused experience. they're both good but just different

Arma 3 is dope, multiplayer and sp . It's been around a while so there's loads of mods and dlcs for it , as well as communities that get together for operations and such , welcome brother 🙏

@@studiomonty bare in mind I’m playing on PlayStation 5 so it’s potato graphics in comparison to some of the footage I’ve seen on PC. I’m having a blast on it and I run it on performance not visual mode. But I totally see where you’re coming from. I find it’s either gorgeous (particularly at sunset) or vulgar 😂

@@singlemaltmick9517 It was! I played it so much, the open world was very new (for me at least) at the time and multiplayer was amazing.

I played OFP since 2001, skipped over Arma, went straight to A2, then A3, mostly co-op. Graphics are not such a big deal to me but the series has always suffered from poor lighting, especially at the time of day shown in this video. There was something about the lighting of Arma 2 that was nice that was not carried over to A3. They messed with it in A3 a couple of times and ended up sort of ruining it at one point, but it was still a great looking game. Honestly though, the games being a bit shit were a pretty big part of the fun while playing co-op. Dumb things like a tank crashing into a rock and being catapulted into the next timezone were hilarious. I haven't played Reforger but it's added a few things that were always missing, like rain making things look wet and making puddles, clothes becoming damp, having actual running streams, etc. Not to mention finally having appropriate dry/tactical reload animations after 25 years. I'd rather have small, immersive changes like that than top of the line graphics.
