Do you wash the comfrey first to remove any bugs and dirt?
Muy interesante y lo hacéis con mucho mimo e interés. Gracias
Go PFP !!🎉
You talk like you are talking to kindergartners
We do actually use these videos in elementary classrooms and with families with young ones! Hope there was still some useful information for you.
Lo deje de ver en el minuto 1.59 gracias
Great information .what can I use if i don't have beeswax
I put the jars in a sunny place for five or six weeks and not cook. You did a great video 👍👍
So, harvest the whole thing at once? Cut and come again?
Hi, you can do either! If you want to cut and come again, you will need to leave at least 2 inches of the plant when you cut, water it well, and will probably want to fertilize with something like fish emulsion to support healthy re-growth.
If you would leave the lid off the condensation would not build up or have to wipe it off.
I was wondering that too. but maybe it also would be exposed to elements outside of the pot!
You should "boil" off all moisture. The moisture could make the salve moldy. A lot of recipe calls for drying the comfrey first before steeping the oil out. A few drops of Vitamin E can help preserve your salve. Mixing bees wax into the oil would create a thicker paste.
You seem knowledgable and I wanted to use Castor oil. Do you think that would be ok? Thank you,T
Maybe don't use 100% castor oil but only a small amount mixed in with other light oil. @@stupidusedrnames
Beautiful video! 😍
Love this. But where is the Maple?
Hi Maureen, thanks for the question! It is optional to add the maple, but it goes in with the other dressing ingredients. We usually add 1 TBS but you can adjust to your taste.
Thank you for this wonderful video. As a 72-year-old, I have lived through times of progress and times of regression in this country's troubled journey toward a multi-racial and equitable society. I have felt a growing weight of despair over the past 40 years as I have watched society turn away from commitments to continue to build on the hard-won advances made through the blood and sweat of many people in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Your work is so very timely as right now we seem to be experiencing both a time of reinvigorated social action, evidenced in raised sensibilities toward, and protest against, racism, and a simultaneous alarming rise in overtly racist speech and action. I commend you for your work to make this a better place for everyone.
Cuerpe, niñes, etc....no entiendo.....
I will do this, thank you very much for the video!!
Love the kale recipe.. delicious
I have a batch of comfrey to harvest, hope it is enough!
36yrs ago I ate Comfrey throughout the 9mths of pregnancy. Strong teeth and bones. Glowing skin and hair. Ate comfrey in stew, raw salads or juicing. Am going to try oil. Thank you for your video. Yum😋 cheers
Amazing salve. I reccomend making it with coconut oil and or adding bees wax so that it is firmer and more manageable for application. For arthritis deep bone pain breaks and even nerve pain...excellent better than cbd oil IMO. I use it on my legs at night so that I can sleep without being kept up with pain.
They do say not to injest it but has been done historically. I think those with cancer or kidney problems should be aware that even topically it is high in alkaline levels.
@@soulair8081 from what I have been able to find out the study that claims comfrey is bad to eat looked at mice that were injected with extractions from comfrey. Not really good science. But I have heard traditional herbalists say it should be eaten in moderation.
@@soulair8081 Who are “they” and what are their qualifications? Ingestion in moderation is fine as is comfrey tea. Don’t believe everything you read. Comfrey has been used medicinally for a very long time. It’s great for animals, providing many trace nutrients. I feed it to my pigs, chickens, rabbits, dog and turkey. I don’t care for the taste or I’d use it in salads. The tea is nearly tasteless. It works to promote healing as it is high in allantoin.
@@soulair8081I've had the tea in small doses my whole life. Just recently heard it's bad for your liver. Maybe they came across this as they did with wormwood/ absinthe.
