    A fun tip if you arent fond of the sound of the buzzing clicking on and off by toggling the furnace's power directly: you can leave the furnace on and instead set the on/off that modulates the temperature to a Relay so you're fluctuating the power instead. It keeps the buzzing noise of an electric furnace pretty consistent instead of BZZ-BZZ-BZZ.

    Awesome video! Is there a rule of thumb to calculate how many boilers you can run with a given number of rods and how many turbines you can power with a set number of boilers that you know of?

    • @mojiitek
      @mojiitek 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Short answer is no, need to power more boilers? Raise water temp. Need to feed more turbines? Run the boiler hotter. Heat = Steam, More heat, more steam, more water needed etc. So you can pretty much scale it however you want. As long as your turbines are running at 60atm your good. If your getting less work you way backwards to find the bottleneck. I usually run 5-7 turbines per boiler, never seen an issue. But you can chain 22 of them in series, but it will take hella long to get running :D

    Nice progress. By the way, when you do get to your missiles, if I may recommend some that work well. You might already have a good grasp on it, but I'll throw some advice out there anyway. If you search "Gladius AXM" on the workshop, those are my vanilla missiles which work pretty well. But, the thing is, I never want to gloat about them because all it really consists of is a nice vanilla configuration, but it was achieved through lots of painful testing. They are compact and have a very high hit probability. You don't even have to exactly match their configuration with whatever you use - just remember this, these settings worked well for me: front fins 40% authority, rear fins 100% authority, 60% boost strength, all while using the built in / prefab missile guidance cues from the radar seeker. Keep in mind that the front fin authority and the boost level can be tweaked for maneuverability and launch velocity / range respectively. For instance, setting the front fins to 55% will make it fly a bit janky (which can probably reduce aerodynamic efficiency and range), but they are better for hitting agile close-range targets. With a lower burn rate, you run the risk of the missiles not clearing the water or horizontal obstacles fully before achieving sufficient velocity when aiming at targets lower on the horizon, so you either have to add a little loft or give them slightly higher burn rate so that they'll launch with some pep in their step, but then the trade off is slightly less range. You could easily take my design as sort of a vague reference point and just add another fuel block or two and you'd have a missile with quite a bit better range.

    • @mojiitek
      @mojiitek 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the advice, I got a fair grasp on them, but there's always room for improvement. Ill take a look at yours :D The missiles on the FAS series will always be tilted upwards a bit, that should help them launching. Also, they will be used almost exclusively as "sea to air missiles" aiming for those pesky planes and helo's. :D

    The video is great but the AI voice sounds kinda shitty and started to bother me like 5 minutes in, i recommend using your own voice, or if you dont want to make a small investment and hire someone to (can be a friend or family member)

      Thanks for the feedback, although you will have to deal with the ai voice for a while 🤣 I’ll probably use my voice at some point. But for now I’m leaving it to the robots 🤖

      @@mojiitek that's just fine do what you like and work hard and people will eventually start really watching your content! I also recommend uploading with scheduled dates and frequently it can boost your channel

      Thank you for the suggestions, having a schedule is something I probably want to do. I’ll let the channel grow organically for now, but all good suggestions 👍

    YASSS. 7 seconds in I liked the video. Finally a stormworks channel that actually has weapons DLC stuff in it.

      @@mojiitek Another thing you might consider is doing some action short excerpts (TH-cam shorts), especially once you get into some actual combat with it. That may help advertise your content more, or at least I’ve heard shorts can be good for that.

    Nice! Very useful! Do you have a list of must have microcontrollers from the workshop?

    • @mojiitek
      @mojiitek หลายเดือนก่อน

      Must have's, not really. I'm really into making smaller subsystems. And I like to do my own logic (to a point.) and my creations are quite diverse. But Uran_Wind has a great deal of nice to have mc's for a bunch of stuff. Also krimwand, Zizo, MrNJersey and C4RB0N has a great deal of really good controllers. And have inspired me a lot into making my own stuff.

      Probably, at some point. But I usually do videos when the rest of my house is sleeping, so this just works well :D So for now, I'll explore the world of AI voices :D
