Hi!
We are Lars and Marieke, and together we started LaMa Aviation.
We found each other back in 2015 at the Aviation Academy in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. From that moment on we started our quest together to explore the wonderful world of aviation. Currently we are pursuing our professional carreers in aviation.
We usually like to plan our trips around flying or spotting a specific aircraft type. During our trips we like to meet and connect with interesting aviation related companies when able. This way we learn about a great range of aspects of aviation and enjoy the beauty of flying with all these professionals.

Plane Spotting Lima Airport from hotel Costa del Sol | Antonov 32, Boeing 737 classics & more!
This video is our spotting compilation from the two days that we were staying in the Costa del Sol by Wyndham hotel at Lima Jorge Chavez International Airport in Peru. We were staying in room 732, with a good view over the airport and a (small) opening window. There is a lot of poles, antennas and a control tower building partially in the way for the view, but most of the time you have a good view of the action and all the aviation goodness happening here. For a slightly different angle, the staircase in the hotel can also be used, also with an opening window.
There were so many good highlights here, such as the Mil Mi-17 helicopter and the Antonov AN-32, but we hoped to see a Fokker 60 as well. Unfortunately, we did not see the F60, but we still had a great time.

There were so many good highlights here, such as the Mil Mi-17 helicopter and the Antonov AN-32, but we hoped to see a Fokker 60 as well. Unfortunately, we did not see the F60, but we still had a great time.

Fedex DC-10-30 at 41:30 thru 41:39...could that be N306FE. I'm hoping it will be saved. It is the Flt 705 aircraft that survived the attempted hijacking in March 1994. It was flown to Victorville in Feb 2023, just a few months before this video was taken.
This DC-10 is N321FE, this video was shot in October 2022, so N306FE was still in active service back then.
You can really hear those IAEs roar since the engine is next to your ear. On an airbus the engines are beneath the wing so hence it’s a tiny bit quieter.

Could do with re-pressurising the nose leg or fit an oleo/strut gag so that it sits at the correct attitude, looks odd at that angle!

@@LaMaAviationif you spot there regularly are you able to tell me the best day of the week to spot? I will be in California in early October
Unfortunately I am sorry to tell you I do not spot there regularly as I am from Europe, so this was a single time visit. You should just go and have some luck. Usually during weekends it is a lot quieter, that is what I know.
Great music, but very sad to see such beautiful flying machines stripped, most of them never to fly again.

@@lukaszachar443 This all was shot in two days, with on the second day only two C-17s and the herculi. So basically we were just lucky, especially with the E-8C. ^^
@@LaMaAviation Yep, definitely. I was here about 3 weeks ago and I saw just Herculi, because C5 took of in the morning (but prediction was to afternoon). So no lucky day for me, just Herculi training :) .
