8 Cores of RAW POWER! | The HP xw8400 Workstation
HP's xw8400 workstation was a computational powerhouse released in the late 2000s which was built to satisfy the computing needs of businesses or anyone with a pretty penny to spare. After a decade of being used for intensive tasks, I managed to get my hands on this one for a cheap price. So does the old beast still have what it takes to perform intensive computing tasks? Can it game better than a modern system? I upgrade the workstation with two Xeon X5365 proccessors and a GTX 1050ti to find out.
As always, this project was a total pleasure to work on! Thank you guys for watching, and I'll see you next time!

The $122 HP Pavillion Gaming PC! | The Value of Upgrading a Prebuilt
มุมมอง 60K5 ปีที่แล้ว
This here is an HP Pavillion p6310y which I picked up for just ten dollars at my university's surplus center. It looks like it could be capable of some gaming, but does this system have what it takes? I upgrade the Pavillion with a GTX 1050 and a 1TB Hard drive to find out what performance you can expect if you manage to find one of these out in the wild. This video was a super pleasure to make...
Comparing the Core 2 Quad Q9550 and Q9505 | What Difference does CPU Cache Make?
มุมมอง 15K5 ปีที่แล้ว
When I bought my Core 2 Quad Q9505 last year, I wasn't fully aware of the differences it had with the mainstream Q9550. It turns out that the Q9505 has half the amount of L2 Cache - but does this affect the CPU's modern performance? I compare the Q9505 to a simulated Q9550 to see if half the L2 Cache hurts the former in gaming and synthetic benchmarks. This week's video was a pleasure, but I ha...
The Xeon X5470 and Why You (Probably) Shouldn't Buy It
มุมมอง 12K5 ปีที่แล้ว
Intel's Xeon X5470 is a quad-core processor released in late 2008. I bought this CPU a few months ago to accompany my secondary rig, but recently I've found myself doubting that decision. Was buying it worth the money? If you go out and do the same, would it be worth it? I introduce some competitors to find out what the best value is. Thank you guys for watching! I'll see you all next week.
The Dell Optiplex 9010 | Does it Still Have Game?
มุมมอง 24K5 ปีที่แล้ว
The Dell Optiplex 9010 is an office PC produced around 2012 which looks like it could have gotten a lot done in its time. Does the aging PC still have what it takes to game today? Should you consider buying one to use for your next system? This is the first episode of my new channel Game and Tinker. I plan on uploading once weekly on Mondays, and I will be working on updating my style to suit t...
