i have a 2013 toyota venza with a similar sound coming from my steering column, i called a toyota dealership and they say this part isn't available, they want me to buy the whole power steering motor, wondered if you know if the damper for the camry is the same for the venza.

Great video! To the point; no music, no rambling introduction, how refreshing! Not much is left to the imagination, the process is covered well enough for most of us. I went through several styles of pliers before finding the one's that worked in removing the old and snapping in the new. There is not much room to work in, but patience is the key. Like most projects if I were to do it again it would only take a fraction of the time. Thanks for identifying the correct part which is the Dorman #49456. I looked at several sources for purchase and they all said that this part would not fit my 2005 Ford Ranger. WTF! It is the EXACT same part as what I removed!!! I ended up purchasing the part from Advance Auto for $12.29. Bought it online and picked it up at the store. When searching on the Advance Auto website this part was not recognized by searching "Dorman 49456". Search "wiper linkage bushing" and select from the list that comes up. Thanks G Auto Repair for a great video!

I use old hockey pucks on top of my lift pads, especially when you are lifting on the side of a car and not on the frame. Have had my Max Jax for over 15 years (older version) and my lift pads are still in good shape. You can find used hockey pucks everywhere and usually for free or very cheap. Cheers.

I had my 2010 fx35 do the same thing. My Fini would go into limp mode for a little while as I was coasting to a stop, or red light, and it would jump back into gear by itself. I changed my transmission oil 3 times after every 500 miles. And now it feels better. Change the transmission fluid regularly when needed.

The injector is supposed to be covered with a dense foam piece….. those are loud new and old. I have the same truck but mine is covered how it is suppose to be

Hey man can you give me clues, I have a 2007 corolla and I have p0171 I had replaced the o2 sensor, intake manifold gasket, maf, pcv valve, pcv hose, fuel pump with oem and the code still pops, the fuel trim ltft is at 33.6 and stft close to 0, when I increase the rpm from a stop sign or highway ltft gets worse and goes to 39.6, when I let it go ut goes back to 33.6, at idle stays between 29 to 33, fuel pressure is good at 45 to 50 and no vaccum leaks detected with smoke detector. Any clues?

Just did the Spark Plugs in my 2014 GMC Terrain AWD (2.4L Ecotec). Found Spark Plug Well #1 (Far Left when looking at Engine from Front, on the Passenger Side) swimming in Oil. No codes (yet). Cleaned and Replaced Plug. For now the other 3 are dry. The plug change was a bit late (@ 115K miles vs 20-40K earlier?) so if the oil has been collecting say over the last 3 years... It might not be absolutely necessary to address "right now"?

I had p0440 and p0456 on my 2012 crysler 300s i changed the purge valve and the leak detection pump and codes were gone but after a week p0456 came back what should i check?

No wires need to be disconnected, none just disconnect the battery. I just did this today on a 2016 Camry Special Edition took about an hour and a half. Hardest part was lifting the column back up so I used a scissor jack to jack up the unit till I could get a nut started.

Thank you for this. I have a 2012 JDM Estima Hybrid in Ireland with these exact symptoms. My own mechanic has said it's nothing to worry about for now (from a safety perspective) and reckoned it was a full rack/ column replacement if I was so inclined. Called another place with experience of Estimas and inquired about the power steering damper you mentioned, but they kept fobbing that off and were talking about a €2000 job to replace everything! Cowboys everywhere. Would love to try this first.

Did you replace the brake hose after letting the caliper assembly hang by it without any other support such as a brake hook?
