As a Ephemera/Photo/Film Historian, I have spent decades collecting vintage Americana and even outside the USA in many different forms from photos, negatives, slides, newspapers, magazines and film. This TH-cam page is dedicated to viewing samples from my home movie collection with some VHS thrown in. I only show snippets from my film collection.
My films are now available for licensing through Global Image Works.
See link below!!
Thanks
Bobby

Awww! My mom always took us with her to shop at A&P. I was born a little later, in 67.
I was born here march 1 1962 , the most incredible thing is that in 2010 as I was reading the word of God Jeremiah ch one before I formed you in the belly I knew you . I had a operation the pain was bad as I was reading to my friend the power of God almighty Jesus christ touched me with intelligent precision and I felt nothing . I walked away and suddenly noticed it was gone this happened to me in the presence of my friend . In this video I am 10 months old and God formed me in the belly .
riding the A&P shopping cart at the end . 😀
oh man the great notch inn! they built the new highway around them. They aint leaving, I love it!
My grandfather and father helped build this park. This was built before sears was there, and they moved it down south to build sears.
Looks like the intersection of rt 27 and Plainfield Ave. guy was standing around where tastee subs is looking towards 27
Great footage. I hope you will post other videos about Yonkers, especially South Broadway.
What a shame to what it had become present day.. Low class and dangerous
I loved this and remember it well!
I was 5 years old living in Lincroft, New Jersey. My parents use to take that road sometimes.
Love this , i was born 1960 , wish i could go back
Was that the Ghostbusters car at 0:40?!!
Amazing how things were and how they've changed.
I remember as a kid during long Upper Michigan winters listening to Bob Wilson do Bruin's games on WBZ "Orr to Cashman back to Orr...Score!!!"
At least 1962, there is a 1962 ford falcon in video near end.
I remember going twice in one year when I was 8 and was fascinated by the safari.
California, a paradise lost. If you're from that era, don't be sad that its gone. Be glad you got to live in it.
No crazies in costumes outside the theater.
This parade was 1960 - 1961
Loved this place. It's where I learned to speed skate.
921 McLean Avenue is my mom's building. Cool to see.
whoa cool i guess
Wow
I was at that parade. I was 13. Born and raised in Hackensack. Lived right behind Main st on 91 Moore St. Am now 77. Hackensack had the most amazing parades.
Born and raised in Anaheim, went into the walnut groves where Disneyland now stands. Mom carried mail around Disneyland on Harbor, Ball rd, West st and Katella rd and would baby sit the motels along Harbor when the managers would like time off. Loved to use the pools when she would babt sit. Thanks for GOOD memories! b
sooo soo soo cool to see footage from this!
Most of the bldgs on the street have been torn down.
All 1958 Dodges.
great time sure has changed
NO Sexual Revolution back then, but that one Hooker was Cute. "Lost in Yonkers" was a Funny, Jewish-Centric Play.
He comes in cold and nails the PxP. Freakin expert at his craft.
I was born in 78. Wow
Wow! I see so many people I remember growing up in LP
Klu, Dickey,
My mom grew up in North Newark back in the late 50’s into the 70’s. Italians used to chase my mom’s sisters home from school. There weren’t too many blacks in Barringer High back in the 60’s. North Newark now is mostly Hispanic and been like that since the late 70’s.
@luccariello What’s funny about that?
If someone told me this was like some student project from the kids at NYU, I would totally believe it lol... And like so many things on TV at this time had like a level of randomness to it
Looks nice before the 8lacks and illegals moved in to ruin it.
Actually the main video is of Smarden.
That DC-3 at 1:34, "Air Chief Cayuga" (N33370, then N410D as a private charter) crashed-landed near Chicago in March 1964, with 28 passengers and 2 crew; the co-pilot was killed. Aircraft was written off. The American Airlines Convair CV-600 at 1:46, tail number N94205, served with a number of carriers all the way until April 2000 (she was converted to a cargo plane in the 1960s). Always flew with that same tail number. She was scrapped in 2001.
My Gramdparents and my aunt are buried east of town they lived in Browns valley until 1955 then moved to New Effington SD
Cool views! I bought a car near there at Fette Ford. Remember the Hearth? Best burgers in Clifton. Good old days!
My cousin held the record at Bonds he had 8 Awful awfuls in one sitting, he was 6'9" 280
All the gas guzzlers of cars seen on this footage.
All gone. But I think we'll all continue to smell those Lorna Doones every time we pass the property
Yes, McLean and Kimball Avenue
oh, that's why i couldn't make out the location. i am more familiar with McLean and South Broadway in 1964.
They still have the front of that dragon ride but it’s in the back of the park where guests arent allowed
Put Bob Wilson next to Steve Levy. Pathetic.
The main building was reopened a few years ago as an Adirondack regional welcome center.
Nice hair net in Kitchen
Wow, I remember my mommy dropping me and my brother off in 1970. Thank you for sharing this ❤
