Jesse from harlingen tx hi to your family They sure look delicious awesome next smoke a brisket
AMAZING...Geez...GR or any LV chef has nothing on you Josh!!
🤣
I had the same duo smoke grill and same issues but i got into smoking with it and also upgraded to a traeger
It was a good starter but so glad I switched this year!
Agreed i absolutely love my traeger@SmokinOnATraeger
Ace hardware assembles and delivers for free.
Yea that is who we got it thru. We decided we wanted to make a video of the assembly, but would recommend taking Ace up on that offer to anyone else
Ever try the 0-400 method? Place the wings/thighs on smoker then turn it on to 400. After about 30 mins flip them. The wings will be done in about another 15 mins and the thighs soon after. Works very well for me and convenient when you don't have a lot of time to cook at a lower temp.
That sounds awesome. Do you get lots of smoke flavor and tender meat that way?
@@SmokinOnATraeger Some smoke flavor. Try it out and see how you like it.
Maybe i missed it....but, did yall not burn off and season your new smoker?
Yea it might have been quick but it does an hour long run to get up and ready
There is no right or wrong when cooking at home for you and your family. Just different opinions. 😂 By the way chicken looks good.
Haha darn right, thanks David
A couple of the best seasonings we’ve ever tried!!
So good
HMM look at dem juicy thighs!
🤣
That looks amazing!
It was!
Before I cook chicken I dry it as much as possible with paper towel. Super dry, then add a little olive oil so the seasoning sticks. The skin turns out crispy that way. Chicken is delicious! ❤
Great tip
Looking good. Thighs are the way to go!
Mind blown 🤯 these were so good
Y’all always make great content and can’t wait to see what’s cooking on this channel 👍🏼
Thanks so much Freddie. Traveling is starting to slow down for the summer so more cooking should start soon
excellent indirect cooking, the real problem (and mine is personal advice) is that searing must absolutely NOT be done on a direct flame as it not only creates too many burnt parts but generates many carcinogenic substances, not to mention that the barbecue you used due to the searing it was already very dirty! I hope you take my comment as constructive advice.
Thanks for the tips!
The same way I like them!!! They fall off but not mushy. Good job!!!
Yes 🙌🏼
I use a sear grate on my Traeger and max out temp. Works surprisingly good! I think Traeger have their own (modifire). I use one made of cast iron from Lodge.
Awesome thanks for the tip!
A very nice upgrade! I have a Traeger too and can highly recommend Bear Mountain pellets, more consistant and better smoke flavour. You do need the second level for Brisket, pulled pork etc. Much better result using top rack.
Good to know! How much do you cook on the top level vs bottom for brisket?
I love the sweet heat for my wings, or even sweet and smokey.
Oh nice I will need to look for that
@@SmokinOnATraeger I get it at Walmart in the baking / spice isle.
Great video! I do all my stuff on a 22 Weber. But one day!❤
As long as you can do it, that's all that matters.
Looks absolutely perfect!
My best steak I have ever made
Seasoned to perfection, reverse sear just makes perfect steak, do you ever do cast iron finish for steaks?
I have not but looks amazing
Those steaks looked bonkers… and just over $30 ea?? 🤯🤯. I’m taking a cooler next drive to Vegas and loading up in MT on the way back. 🥃🥃
So Good - Thanks Colin!
Looks great!
Thank you
It needs more cowbell
haha good call
Oh man, does that ever look good!! Bravo!
Thank you!
Great job on the Tommys and the Brussels sprouts! Killer meal!
Wow thanks so much!
You had me at whiskey 🤣🤣🥃🥃 Now I have 3 things to try and smoke. LaLa isn’t a fan of pulled pork so I’ll get this one all to myself!
Haha thanks a bunch, word of advice don’t do a 10 pounder if just you, we have way too many leftovers from this one
I can’t ever get the membrane off that easily! I’ve haven’t ever cooked my ribs less than 225°. Gonna give this method a try next time! Never thought to add whiskey!! Looks delicious!!
Whiskey and butter helps everything haha. Yea this membrane felt bad for me or something, it never goes this well
So excited about this channel!! We’ve followed y’all forever and I am new to the smoking world! Looking forward to trying this out! Cheers! ✌🏻✌🏻

Those looked delicious! I know what I am cooking on my Weber Kettle this weekend! 😂 looking forward to more cooks!
Now that sounds like a more reasonable sized smoker haha, More to come!
Looks great, what kind of Pellets did you use? I prefer apple
For this cook we used the Signature ones and loved them. We have only used the Cherry pellets otherwise and like them as well
So much pulled pork 😂
haha yes it is!
The leftovers are just as delicious 🤤
😋
Oh man!! I’m drooling over those ribs!
Thank you!
I could go for some wings 🥰
