Fbass sounds the best on all positions especially neck. True pbass tone. Fender was 2nd. Nice tones but not as articulate as fbass. Ken Smith in 3rd only because it had a stronger bridge tone. Carvin only lost out to ken smith because of bridge pickup. Bridge sounded weak and lacked clarity

Bro! You sound amazing. I am a BIG Ken Ken Smith guy, however, the Fender Jazz takes the cake in this comparison.

1) Smith, 2) Fender, 3) Carvin, 4) F Bass

they all sounded good. got 2 carvin 6 strings. 1 with jazz pickups. ,the other with the music man humbucker and jazz in the neck.

1)Ken 2)Carvin 3) Fender 4) Fbass the ken and carvin were quite similar though

Great playing as usual, I like your comparison style and that you dedicated a part for the B string. Keep up the good work.

They all sound incredible but the smith is so unique and articulate.

They all sound good with you playing them, but prefer that mid-range growl of the Ken Smith personally.

For my taste, Ken Smith takes the cake. Especially with pickups soloed - it's growly all the time!

As always Fender is the first choice.

Terrific playing. And the sound … I have a BSR5J from ‘97 and it really sounds much like my Fender Am de Luxe, at least in my hands ) While you sound much closer to KS models with soapbar pickups, which are considered to have that really “authentic” Ken Smith sound. What’s your secret, if there is any? (except for your hands 😄)

great that you're comparing 4-string models as most of people just don't catch the difference between 5, 6 and 4- strings which is big.

You have superb workshop in hands. Probably if you will take this KS and Harley Benton HBZ-2005, not many people in blind test could guess what bass is better

These single pickup Bongos with the H in the Stingray sweet spot sound so much better than the 2 pickup models.
