Hi, we are interested in going to Peak Hill to try a bit of detecting. I can’t find much information online and I was wondering if you were on pending ground there, had a 40E or if there’s someone who we can ask for permission to access the area? We are currently in Leonora and heading that way in a few days. Many thanks in advance 😊 BTW, we met some friends of yours at Flat Creek station near Georgetown last year!

Hi Karen, sorry for the late response, we have been off grid for the past 10 days. Do you still need info for Mt Padbury/ Peak Hill? There are plenty of pending areas there.

Nice work both of you. We’re heading over for our first WA visit shortly. Do you just do pending ground and do you have any tips where newbies might have a better chance of picking up some yellow stuff. Just general area.

We do both pending ground and 40E permits. There are plenty of good pending ground near Kalgoorlie where we go to test our equipment. Pending prospecting areas are best. Once you find a scraped area, go around the outside and go really slow. Good luck 👍

Hi Qwikas, thanks for your comments. I used the 12 inch nugget finder on my 7000. It takes away some weight but try and get a hipstick ! Best thing for distributing the load onto your belt. Marika swaps between the 11" mono and the 14" DD coil if the ground is particularly noisy. Daisy Hill near Talbot has always been kind to us. Happy Hunting 😊
