Nice, thanks! I had to mute the sound and read subtitles after a while... those sound effects are so annoying 😵💫😵💫😵💫
Yay! Eddie Anderson has many of the good lines!
Claude Rains had class, they don't make them like that anymore!!
Wonderful slap stick comedy.
What a shame to see an actor of the stature of Claude Rains in such a low budget movie.
Don't worry, a year later he was in "Lawrence of Arabia". So, he was doing just fine!
Pure gold! And no commercials! Grateful to rewatch this gem on a rainy day. "My, my, the things I get myself into!''; "Here I am! And here I go!" (Eddie)😅
Rochester was such a gem, even when he was on Jack Benny! 😂😂 Such a great movie! 🎥❤️😊
Ms. Burke's virtuoso performance as scatterbrained Mrs. Topper deserved an Oscar nomination 👏.
Billie Burke and Rochester are the scene-stealers in this film; nevertheless, it is the superb writing that is its major strength.
this movie sucked
Claude Rains carries this entire film on his shoulders. He's a joy to watch. He reminds me of any number of curmudgeonly characters to be found in Robert Heinlein books. The premise is interesting. Not new, and still used but the execution here is fascinating. For some reason I'm reminded of some scenes in 2001.
This tape needs to stop stopping. Not cool.

Academy award material…..NOT. I admit it’s funny. 🤣
Nominated for 12 Oscar’s!
Pitts big Nazi supporter
For the time Special Effects were impressive.
My sisters and I used to laugh so hard at the part with Eddie and the seal. Poor Eddie, he's just a nice guy who doesn't want to be dragged into craziness.
Thank you, I have such fond memories of this movie from my childhood.
Lighting is so horrible that it's just a black screen at times. But Zasu Pitts is awesome!
At least the poor pup is ok.
My favorite line was from Billie Burke ~ "You mean you have a room just FOR that?"
Benson is a meglomaniac!
1933 was the year Prohibition ended, so the mention of a Speakeasy here was one of the last. I knew this was going to be a good movie when I saw that ALFREDA was in charge of gowns.🙄
I have this movie on DVD. I grew up watching it on VHS. It will stay in my family for a long time.
They sure don't make 'em like they used to! I do not like newer TV/movies. I never have. Old black and white TV and movies are where I find the most entertainment. 🎥❤️😊

Wow, first scene man hears woman calling to him from under water.😊
Hal Roach was a funny man, he was a genius. I love his movies. The Best that ever did it.😂
I'm shocked to learn that gambling is going on in this space ship.
Lol!
What a film 😆
Great fun. Wonderful movie.
Spaghetti , or former Soviet / American low budget sci- fi ?
Love this movie. I had a vcr tape of it, and yet, I still watch it over and over again!!! My kind of horror flick/ghost story!!!
Had to ace this one 6 minutes in.
Cute but a little to corny for me.
One of the best movies I’ve seen 😊
Unbelievably, ludicrously contrived. First, Janet throws the gun she took from Bard on the seat of his car, instead of tossing it in the trash or down a sewer, like any sensible person would. Why? Because it needs to be there so he can be shot with it later. Second, the crooked coroner doesn't tell Carson that Bard was already dead when he was shot. Did he seriously think Carson would never find out? That seems unlikely, since Carson noticed the lack of blood on Bard's body the second he saw it, which would show that the coroner was either lying or incompetent. Third, a prisoner escapes from a holding cell (I guess nobody ever noticed how easy it was to get out of those before) and just happens to find Bard's body in the corridor untended, and sticks it in a closet so he can take its place. Then the movie veers off into goofy sitcom territory, with one reporter trying to keep another one from seeing the body in the closet. And why were Janet's fingerprints still on the gun after the other guy used it to shoot Bard's corpse? Unfortunate that the story has so many plot-holes, since the acting, photography, and general production are otherwise all pretty good.
LOVE THIS MOVIE!
Never saw this one before. Great film!

AWESOME EFFIN CHANNEL
I love this movie plus having studied fashion design and now a retro futuristic Artist I like looking at the clothes and furniture
Watch SPACE THING INVADES EARTH
Me too I love this movie of must-have watch to 15 times already. What do they call that big fur coat that guy is wearing
It's a racoon coat. They were a fad in the 1920's so the coat was outdated during this movie, making it even funnier.
Many photos and movies of that Era show men wearing raccoon coats to football games and waving college pennants.
@@dabear2438 Thanks for the costume history concerning this film.
Love these old Japanese movies .........!!!!
@ 59:48 "It's a terrible drawn-out agony for the whole world." My dear, are you referring to this movie?
