I know I'm not the only one that still appreciates the series. This is just something to get out some feelings I've had since the series finale after seeing the fandom's reaction.

I am not proud of this. I meant to do, like, the whole minute and a half of the wii channel song. I've spent seven fucking hours collecting screencaps and cutting them together down to the half-second, and I don't even have a third of the song done. So, yeah, I planned on this being better, but god damn this is a lot more work than I thought it would be, lesson learned.

Ok so, this one comes pretty loaded. I've wanted to read Psychosis for the channel since I started it. However, as anyone who's read the story knows, it has an ending that can be... divisive among fans, with some feeling like the definitive answer the ending gives kills s...

You’re not the only one, my man, JJK is one of the best written cast of characters in shonen’s history, yes, it could’ve been better, but look at Demon Slayer, for example, and tell me one character better written than Maki, there’s none, JJK is the best shonen since the start of MHA and people forget about this.
I feel like Chilchuck would stay in his lane [AKA, when he usually avoids fights], but he has to step in sometimes because the main party are a bunch of idiots so he doesn't really have much of a choice.
I really like it! But you should have give them different voices or/and modulation. Keep up the good work!

Ok I’mma sound very stupid but what’s a cloaca?
Humans, like most mammals, expel our waste through two separate orifices (urine through our urethra, and feces through our anus). And despite their close proximity, our sex organs are almost an entirely different set of systems, the only exception being that human men ejaculate and urinate from the urethra. A lot of other animals, as you can expect, don't fully conform to this idea of how a body should work. Birds, and a lot of other creatures, have a cloaca: an organ that expels both urine and feces from the same orifice, on top of being a ex organ as well. This is why bird waste has the distinctive consistency that most people are familiar with from it falling on their cars. To sum it up, it's an organ that expels all of their waste at once, unlike mammals who separate it.
Don’t be angry mate but you’re confusing some details about resurrection. Which is good, because it means we get to appreciate the world building all the more!😂 The reason Marcille was sooo drained after resurrecting Falin was because Falin was nothing but a SKELETON. She had to drag and rearrange the blood of a dragon into an entire functioning human body!! Which was absolutely bonkers, I’m still star struck. Such a scene. Anyways, she also used to “dark magic,” so who KNOWS everything THAT took out of her, not to mention maybe even lasting consequences on her mana and staff! In the meantime, we’ve seen casual resurrections multiple times, like with Namari. It seems as long as most of the body is intact,, it’s somewhat manageable to heal, and since the soul is still shackled to the body, everyone wakes up A-OK. I actually thought maybe you were going to talk about how INSANE the concept and execution of death is in this show!! So absurd, unsettling, yet inconsequential somehow?? Except, deeper in the dungeon, the odds of having your bodies found in time are near 0. People don’t go down that far! So when Fain was ripping through everyone, stakes were HIGH. Also, the horror factor of seeing someone you know coming back as this casual murder chimera, let alone your sweet little sister, must’ve had Laos SHOOK. As we saw. Had me shook.
Please, tumblr answered that question a long time ago, before she showed up in the anime even. Obviously chimera Falin possess male dragon part, that's an integral part of her "dynamic" with Marcille.
Yeesh... That's gotta hurt. A lot. That might actually kill a normal human, actually..
i think it's worth noting that maizuru seems pretty powerful.. she's old enough to be his parent's age and apparently raised him, but doesn't seem old at all, and her magic seems very strong. i've wondered what her deal is
Fear and hunger without the hunger
Interesting, but Senshi isn't the one with the same relationship to all the others, Chilchuck is.
This is a very interesting perspective and stance, but I would have to disagree on Izutsumi’s beast aspect. While it is easy to see the connection between her form as a beast man and her mind, I don’t think it is the most satisfying way to present the character. The show does force that view, in the castle scene, where she is reduced to a docile creature, inhuman in her reduced capacity to think, act, and choose. But other than scene (which honestly, doesn’t sit right with me), Izutsumi acts much more like a child with severe trauma, reduced to the “primitive and animalistic” system of trust that you describe, but because of her pains and her experiences. That right there, is very human to me. Especially how she does come to trust them.
I'd say it's also worth pointing out that the trust goes both ways. The party trusts her, as they would any other member, arguably before she even earned that trust through her actions, and I think that spoke to the human component of her in a way she'd never previously experienced.
I think based on the fact they turn blood into muscle for Falin, the state of the body doesn't necessarily matter in a sense of being unworkable, more that the crushed goo that WAS their head can be magically reshaped back into a head for albiet more mana, without being replaced by animal tissue. Which makes sense. Animal tissue is nor human tissue. You'd need to deconstruct it down into base molecules to reconstruct it into human tissue. So not needing ro deconstruct different tissue and just reconstructing the original tissue is probably easier on mana.
I think that it is mentioned in this scene that marcille was allowed to use healing abilities but prohibited from resurrecting anyone so that the other casters could preserve their mana.
I also thought the dragon's fuel sack was really cool! I heard people attribute some of this incredible world building partly to how Ryoko Kui doesn't have to publish each week (like how shonen jump authors are expected to publish), but rather every two months (i havent gotten current with the manga so this could be a lie i dont really know). But man, give people the proper time to write their stories dammit.
thanks for the manga spoilers

I can’t wait to see the part about Falin starving be portrayed in the anime
considering how they sexed up her big fight appearance in the cartoon I've got confidence they're doing something special for her drooling scene
I don’t want to Google it, can someone describe it to me?
Hemipenes are reptile penis (birds are reptiles). They come in all shapes and sizes (and numbers, considering snakes have 2 of these) The end.
It's just a penis that's forked. The shapes vary from species to species though - some even have spikes
why didint you say spolier waring, damm
THATS PROBABLY NOT THE COVERING BUMP OF A CONCEALED HEMIPENIS THATS PROBABLY A SAURIAN PELVIC BONE LIKE THE KIND FOUND IN DINOSAURS INCLUDING BIRDS
Oh yeah theres also a shot of Falin on her back, with Thistle resting his leg on her cock.
Just FYI, a cloaca and a hemipenis are not mutually exclusive. A male reptile might pee and poop through the cloaca. It just doesn't hump through it. Though from later in the plot we can confirm that Falin is unable to breathe through her cloaca, which some reptile are able to do.
Yes.
Hypest shit indeed, What's your opinion on last page?
Without spoiling for anyone that happens on this video before reading, Literally not what I was expecting at all, Abbaddon continues to take the story in new directions at every turn and nail it every time. So happy for him and his family, I hope they take all the time they need before he continues to work
Does spider have pusspuss
My brother said he doesn’t wanna watch the show because he thinks the fans are annoying which is insanely vapid like he’d never interact with them by just watching the show so the only reason to say that is to seem special which just pisses me off
I feel you on that. Yeah, that's a weird answer for him to give.
Hey OP of the original thread. I did it as a shitpost but it was removed by the mods. There was another comment mention the following "Thats most likely the pelvis bones, drawn like you would find them on a dinosaur. Unfortunately, falin's genitals remain a scientific mystery. Considering the feathers and the dragon's similarities to a theropod, i would personally lean towards a cloaca being the most likely option here, as modern birds typically have cloacas (both male and female)"
Can vouch, this is OP Also gonna throw it out there that I learned A LOT about reptilian and avian anatomy that I didn't know before all this, lol
@@ElliotGeltz Same I wasn't as familiar with Reptilian biology
Exactly! As someone who has owned male lizards, that is NOT where the bulge from that is located - its at the base of the tail. You can see the bulge very clearly in most guides on gendering various species of lizards without having to see the actual organ itself, which is completely internal when not in use. The bulge shown here is a pelvic bone similar to that of a dinosaur. Therefore it would be more logical to assume that the dragon's genitalia is more similar to that of a crocodilian or bird than a lizard's since lizards aren't archosaurs Edit: And yes, I concur on the cloaca. Literally all land dwelling vertebrates that aren't mammals have them. We're the weird ones
@@Amy_the_Lizard Fair enough, I trust the word of an expert. Also, "we're the weird ones" is ominous af
I can absolutely 100% confirm that what is shown on Falin is a pelvis bone. I fucking went through every panel of the manga where the Red Dragon is shown, during an absolutely idiotic argument with someone, to prove the point that the Red Dragon indeed had a dinosaurian pelvis bone, and thus the bulge on Falin (and any instances of the bulge on the dragon before that) was the same (mostly annoying because it felt so obvious to someone with a lot of interest in biology and people just going "lol dick" seemed infuriating). (For anyone's curiosity, this can be seen just barely in the panels where Laios is trying to find Falin after she vanishes and he walks next to the corpse after all the flesh has vanished, silhouetted behind him in some panels.)
That’s not a concealed hemipenis that’s the waist bone found in T-Rexes iirc, could be wrong due to memory problems but yk
Yep, Reddit is just the kind of place for the important question.
all the blood, gore and mess was left pretty much where they were killed without the need to transmutate it from an entirely different species, they didnt even get eaten
*Ghostbusters flashbacks*
Oh god. She's at risk of starving? that would be a horrible experience
You know that extra-harsh hunger? When you haven't eaten ALL day, and you have to choose between either eating right before bed at 10pm and dealing with all the issues of that, or just sleeping through it and eating in the morning? Chimera Falin feels like that *constantly*.
I’ve always been a fan of speculative biology so this was a great surprise series for me in that regard, as well as the good story and characters obviously. I remember hearing about this show but didn’t think much of it, then I saw a clip that explained about the living armor and I knew there and then I had to watch it
I love the focus put into the biology of these creatures because it explains the link between how they function and live their lives, as well as how they taste and how to prepare them as food. It kills two birds with ones stone and is a great representation of the link between these things in real life… Imo, there’s something interesting in understanding the evolutionary reasons behind the taste and texture of what you eat, and I also see it as a way of showing respect to the animal, which I feel Laios represents with his simultaneous love for monsters and his desire to consume them.
I am unashamedly using this show as inspiration and reference for an upcoming dnd campaign im running using Heliana’s guide to monster hunting
Same. I'm hoping to run a homebrew Curse of Strahd soon, and this is playing a part
I mean I won't be surprise that sometimes most stories breaks the world building
I mean, these are all fair issues. But regarding the lore questions it's not like Myazaki was very clear and detailed on these issues on the other games. And you said yourself, Elden Ring is the biggest one.
I like how you added in chimera Falin's biological mutations, probably causing her great suffering, and you're like neat. 😃🤣 Gives major Laios vibes lol. 🤣 ( Though I do agree it is interesting that the creator takes in the inconveniences of monster design etc. A lot of manga creators skip it all just for cool factors, and it being inconvenient to logically explain each thing in their fantasy worlds.)
If chickens are modern dinosaurs and some dinosaurs were kinda like dragons, Falin’s body parts aren’t too mismatched… well except the mammal torso. Are dragons in this universe warm or cold blooded? Chickens and mammals are warm, and dinos were theorized to be warm too. If her blood temperatures are conflicting, that would be add the her difficulty to survive I’ve done a bit of dabbling in chimera creation lore and thought an alchemist can’t put two animals together whose parts, blood, or diet can’t work in harmony and expect it to survive, like the antlion
🤿
So was the person who did all the paperwork named Dr jack blight by the chance?
No it was Elias Shaw
Yeah bright is no longer canon and is 100% removed from the Scp verse as a whole
@nightmarepurpletrap2589 wait what, why?
@@silverkuroma apparently Dr Bright was a self insert character and the original creator was a pedophile
@@silverkuroma The guy behind him was a child molester. And when the character written by the child molester has his sexual deviancy be a core part of both the character and most of the stories involving him, it's understandable to just scrub the whole thing and start fresh
I love how dungeon meshi makes consequences and doesn't just go "it's there because it's magical" instead it explains itself through what the characters learn and discover and i love that so much
be fair, the reason she is acutally still alive and doesn't full on starve is because of magic supplementing waht she lacks. but it isn't enough to properly sustain her and it leaves her with poor stamina as a result.
Shuro is terrible at socializing correctly. Be open be honest and be aware that everyone's different. It's stupid and unfair to expect everyone to be on the same page all the time. Oh and yeah his ....slaves....yeah that also sucks. But given the choice to Ether leave the slaves in their horrible lives or free them and have them be family members... what choice does he have? ....but then again...I saw a flashback of this man giving them a choice to stay or go....or if they have family to go back too...and if the cat is any indicator with her curse that will kill her.....yeah this man is a menace.
To Shuro's credit, the curse wasn't his. It was Maizuru's, amd she'd even used it on Shuro as a boy to keep him from wandering off. Which is... just really fucked up, lol. But it also shows how weird the culture, and specifically the family around them are. That isn't to excuse any of it, I just wish people would talk about this as much as they talk about Shuro and Laios
Meant to type "I hadn't seen a flashback of him giving them a choice." And oh... looks like it's a thing she does to everyone that's acting up. Silly.
@@kharijordan6426 I like to think this doesn't reflect on their culture or anything. Maizuru is just a child abuser. Honestly way worse than anything Shuro does.
Serv / retainer are not slaves directly
This is kind of like saying prisoners/indentured servitudes arent directly. If a person is forced into labour and owned like property their a slave, no matter what other nicer word is used to describe it
It’s really cool how the writers made her work. She’s like a Liger, something that _can_ exist and technically function but wouldn’t exist naturally and if it did it couldn’t operate nearly as well as any of its individual parts could. Just like a liger she’s massively powerful and built like a tank but she can hardly feed herself and some of her organs just don’t even work properly because of how haphazard her biology is. God this is awesome.
A small detail that i like about falin is how she tends to hold thistle by the human abdomen. There she has a brood patch which is meant to keep eggs warm and by holding thistle there it could be some sort of maternal dragon instinct.
Omg I never noticed that, that's so cool
