CO2 is the only real renewable energy medium. Carbohydrates (synthesized with CO2, water and solar energy are powering everything from smallest plant to biggest animals as well as practically all important industry and when the energy is release EVERYTHING is recycled back (that's why we breathe out CO2 and water wapour) it's amazing and completely clean process. And don't believe any of the doomsday deathcult of climate change - there is not a single shread of evidence backed by scientific method of what they are saying is real (i.e. experiment demonstrating and confirming the claims)

In Sweden you can return the cannister to the store and get a new one for around 2-6 $ depending on what they offer at the moment. I think your video is really interesting, well done and a great walk through. It would be something I would like to be able to save money on since I drink alot of carbonated water. But when the price-difference for us in Sweden is so little I just can't find myself to do it.

As the amount of CO2 in the donor tank decreases, does it become harder to fill the Sodastream tank?

Will it work with the E Terra? I just ordered me one and I have 7 blue co2 canisters.

Sadly i don't have anywhere near me that i can get a refill on CO2 tanks guess only option for me is to buy the sodastream refills cause no car so can't get co2

I’ve just been reading a comprehensive review of ‘the best’ sodastream makers in 2024. Among other tests they checked to see how much c02 was infused with the water, then checked it again 24hrs later to eve how much had remained. Regarding the Aarke, they said “the water it made wasn’t bubbly and became completely flat after only a few hours.” While it looks the best, hands down, they were less than impressed with it compared to say the sodastream ark. Any thoughts on that? Were they mistaken?

Two things that might have been mentioned: The 5# tanks can be exchanged, i.e., there is an already-filled tank ready for you at the brewers/welders store, whereas for the 20# tank they will need to fill it, so your wait will be much longer, or you might even have to return after a few hours or days. Second, the tanks need to be tested periodically (I think 5 years) and eventually expire (I think 10 years). If you are going the exchange route, you can just not ever accept a filled tank that is close to needing a test or is about to expire, whereas if you are using your own tank, you will have that cost periodically.

Cheap but expensive.

I checked like 20 stores with co2 tanks and they never mention whether they contains siphon tube or not (Europe)

Sodastream charges $34 to ship you two new bottles for their exchange. All-in, with the adapter ($80), bottle ($140), and CO2 fill ($30), that means all I have to do is fill 8 bottles and I'm ahead of the game.

My adapter has a different type of relief valve on it and it's insanely sensitive. I nearly gave myself frostbite the first time I opened it. Aside from now using pliers to open it, this works well. Local welding company filled my bottle for a whopping $30. FYI Airgas quoted me $330 for a full bottle of CO2 w/the bottle and siphon tube, which is absolute robbery.

Just got the lady the soda stream tired of her spending $2-3 for them 8oz sodas everytime she goes out like cmon get a 2 liter at least sheesh. That thing is debo. I love saving money. Not really informed on how to handle co2 tanks esp one of that size are there any hazards j gotta be aware of? Or is safe to just store underneath the kitchen cabnit while not in use? Seams lot of trouble and unsafe like having an oxygen tank in the house, scares me. I just bought Terra-E to replace my failling Revolution machine have close to 15 years. Needed to trade in my screw to snap on bottle. Explain to me the $15 license fee, I have 4 tanks but bought my sodastream when it first came out so never had to pay that. Was pretty angry when had to trademarked 130l bottle for 60l since they stopped using them.

Wow danke für das Video. Ich war die ganze Zeit am überlegen welchen Sprudler ich mir holen möchte. Da mir die Optik wichtig ist habe ich zwischen dem Aarke Carbonator Pro dem Aarke Carbonator 3 und dem Sodastream Enso überlegt. Ich dachte der wäre aus Edelstahl. Einfach billiges Plastik in verchromt… danke für das Video dann weiß ich schon mal dass es der Sodastream leider nicht wird.

What is the best way to store an extra co2 cylinder,is it safe to keep it in a refrigerator while not being used.Also these cylinders are two colours,which machine use the orange and which one use the blue.

Hey guys, so I tried to go the route of 20lb siphon tank and adapter and filling up my own canisters (pink ones). I followed soda Scott’s directions on TH-cam and filled the canisters slowly and correctly and ended up with 1100 grams after fill. All good. Went to use them on my soda stream art and now it’s not carbonating, it will spurt out a little bit of carbonation, but not like how it was originally! I’m getting quite frustrated by this since I’ve spent so much time/money/effort into it. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Why not just switch to using a drinkmate? It carbonates any beverage not just water and it sounds like the screw in cylinders are far more common and compatible with the tank adapters available. I imagine if you were only refilling a screw in it would knock even more off the total price of your setup. If omnifizz price is the issue they have a “portable” version that actually will still work with the full size tanks and bottles for $60. You wouldn’t want it sitting on your counter but in terms of most bang for buck that’s what I would recommend.

Why are you using the 20-30$ price for a new bottle. A refill costs between 5$ to 7$ if you swap the smaller bottles. This kind of framing is basically lying. If you consider this price it isn’t that much of a bargain anymore.

hey i was thinking about get a 5 pound c02 or 10 pound c02 tank. Which one you recommend? Is the 10 pound heavy to carry around? Dunno if Ii should pay like 80 bucks more to go 10 pounds.

I think the Drinkmate Fizz diffuser is the decision-making spec I need. Two major reasons, I can safely carbonate cold bottled Coca-Cola and pump the fizz to the max. The second one is that the fizz contraption stays pressurized for a long time, what I do usually store the pressurized set inside the fridge for like 10 minutes before drinking it, allowing more CO2 to the drink.

Dear one: You need to shake the bottle to mix the CO2 as much as possible. Also you need to cool the water prior to carbonation. Hope that helps
