YLYL BUT MY HUMOR IS BROKEN (NOT MY VIDEO)
as a guy who switched schools (and moved cities) and went stealth, i can confirm it is a god tier experience. something i’d like to say is that (if it’s an option) i would recommend doing PE online. it’s annoying doing it outside of class but you avoid all the changing room stuff. definitely do not do this unless at least one of your parents are on board though. one downside about this is that it is VERY hard to talk to anybody about being trans. it depends if you’re really gonna be stealth or if you’re gonna be relatively open about it but i’d advise being careful.
Alright so my school counselor says she only tells parents if u are a danger to yourself or others, im debating telling her but i dont know what will happen
I’m a trans girl and don’t want to come out because i live in a “homophobic country” and my parents wouldn’t even look at my face ever again, and my friends too. I just came out to 5 of my friends that’s all.
I tried to come out to my parents but they just ignore what i say- i cant change my name but i have a group of rlly supportive friends which is nice
im a closeted trans man and this is helping a lot. i want to let my councilor know since I trust her and she isn’t the type of adult to say “ur too young for that!!”
idk why im watching this rn 😭
I’m lucky because I was already in the queer section of my school (found out sexuality years before finding out gender) so literally everyone that I actually cared about knowing was completely fine with it.

Im in yr 8 and i think im trans but not 100% sure but pretty close and want to start taking testosterone thingys cus i really dont wanna be short for the rest of my life but my parent (especially my dad) are really 'old fashioned' and i dont know what to dooooooo 😢
@HeyitsQuinnhere if you think that your trans and want to take testestorone in the future it’s very likely that you *are* trans (not telling you you are or anything 😭😭) Also testosterone comes in like a gel form!! If you don’t like needles you can use the gel and talk to your doctor about it !
now i needa tutorial on how to come out to parents and what age is best to do it

Same grade as you. I recon the three biggest factors in passing are, hair, voice and binding. I only ever get clocked when I speak. It is possibly to voicetrain to make your voice deeper. I suggest trying to mimic a male family member close to your age.
Yeah that’s prettt much really- you can pass wearing fem clothes if you pass in every other way (most of the time) I reckon my voice is okay, it’s usually deeper than it is in this video but I was ill lmao
I have school uniforms BUT they're basically vests and jackets that you put over your outfit. But they still found a way to gender them, they have yellow and blue stripes at the hem(like the neck) of the vest. And girls have the yellow stripe bigger, while boys have the blue stripe bigger. Luckily i have the boy vest because my brother gave it to me
Brooo that’s so stupid what 😭😭

I don't even know what to do in school when i come out cuz i live in a rly homophobic country, like its illegal to be lgbtq here 😭 A lot of the kids are homophobic and Im not even sure i would be allowed to change my name or pronouns. I guess time will tell 😞 Honestly, at this point I'm thinking of just transitioning over summer and not telling any one cuz i genuinely don't care anymore.
Safety should be the number 1 thing!! If your at a risk of being seriously hurt or bullied even though it’s gonna suck ALOT it might not be a good idea to transition :(( I really hope everything goes well for you

as a trans guy going into year 11 attending a public school in Australia, watching this made me realise how lucky I am. Even though I was the first kid to (ever) come out as trans at my school, I was really well accepted by teachers at my school, and my name and gender in the school system was changed almost immediately after a meeting with the principal, the wellbeing coordinator and my mum. We have a gender neutral uniform, mixed p.e, and we don't have to use changing rooms as there's no p.e uniform. I still get bullied, but I'm really grateful for how easy I have it compared to some others.

I really think my life would be easier if i came out to my parents, and they support but idk if they will be ok with *me* being trans if that makes any sense, and im still in middle school and im scared its too early to come out. Any tips?
@@Em3r4ld.xx.St4rz it’s definitely NOT too early to come out! I first told my parents when i was like 6/7 (I was pushed of as being a tomboy lmao) - The earlier you come out the better (sometimes) cos you can get used to presenting masculine and the people around you can get used it Maybe if you talked to your parents about OTHER trans people or watched some kind of trans related movie/tv show and just see how they act and maybe start hinting at it- just to see how they are If they react positively then it *should* be okay for you to come out when you’re ready!!
@_W0rm_F00d_ okay, thank you
As a closeted transmasc who's homeschooled, I'm so thankful for it. Even though I'm still too scared to come out to my family, I couldn't imagine how scary it'd be to come out to my school. This video was helpful for me tho as I do go to a homeschool group thing which is kinda like school and if I ever decide to come out to them I know what to do :D btw you and your room are so pretty! I love the vibes man 😔
@@bread8439 Thankyou!!!!
Great video!!! But please someone reply I need some help. I am starting a new school next year (in year 10) and I don’t know if I should go by my preferred name or birth name. (My preferred name is a masculine version of my birth name.) I have not told my parents or anyone yet but I would like to start a new school with my preferred name. So I’d have to come out to my parents and get them to change it with the school before we start. Ahhhhh. And I present feminine and I will probably get weird questions for having a masculine name. So basically, should I go by my preferred masculine name as a feminine person at my new school, or just deal with my old name for three years???
If your parents are gonna be okay with you coming out or even just using that name o think maybe you should tell them?? Even if you just say tha you want to use that name
as another transmasc in year 10 i approve of this message
Tips to pass? My voice is rlly high and I can’t bind all that well.
I’m working on the video soon, should be done sometime this week!!

Another (questioning?) trans guy named Alex here!! I'm in Canada so people here are overall mostly accepting. I have a pretty big queer friend group and attend the queer-straight-allience club too, but im very closeted. I was introduced to the group by one of my long time friends who (like majority of people) doesn't know, so obviously, they refer to me by she/her in the group. Many of my friends are trans or non-binary but they've been out in the friendgroup since I've known them and i have no idea how them coming out came to be. I feel like my friends would just accept me and adapt quickly, but still. I also have this stupid feeling where I feel like if i used the same pronouns/was the same gender as one of my friends, I'd be copying them (It's really non-sensical lmao). Honestly, I have no intentions of coming out to my parents (who often make transphobic jokes intentionally and such) , or teachers (since i feel they might tell my parents as you mentioned), but I'm thinking about my friends. The only person I'm really out to is my sister (there is a funny story of how she was constantly saying "you look like a divorced husband"/calling me a boy and it became a inside joke of ours to the point where I told her "dude, i dunno if this is a joke anymore." and she just accepted it and we laughed about it) and that's only because we are closer than most people on earth are capable of being. Tbh, I have no idea of if I'm asking for advice or just wanted to comment about the name similarities and got carried away, but nonetheless, thank you for the video! (I'm just now realizing i could have written my thesis statement instead of this, but here we are)
I totally get you!! When I first came out I convinced myself that I was just copying my friend but I can guarantee that your not !
Amazing video 👍. I’m cis so I didn’t need any of these tips but I’m just really happy that someone is putting this information on the internet for people who need it. Also why is there a rat in the thumbnail? I’m cis so maybe I just don’t get it 🤷. Pls don’t answer if you don’t want to
the rat is there for funnies i think
I’m so glad that you liked it !!!! the rats just there because like Idk RAT
Excellent reasoning 👌, I guess I thought it was like the blahaj \_(0-0)_/
I came out to my parents and a few close friends. The friends were totally okay with it because we have another transmasc in our friend group and hes like the "leader" of the friend group (he started it and stuff). Coming out to my mom was difficult because shes a hardcore Christian and is already iffy about me being bisexual. But i came out to my dad (who i don't have a good relationship with (#daddyissues)) BUT TO MY SURPRISE he ACCEPTED me and is getting me my first binder for Christmas!!!!! And he also cane out to me as pansexual!!!! Ive hinted at my new pronouns (He/they/it) to my other classmates and a few are catching on, but some of the more "popular" kids try to jump me for it and call me slurs... I wear only baggy clothes and layer up on sports bras as make-shift binders (until christmas yayayayayyaayayy) and most of the time, people who don't know me refer to me as "the girk who looks like a boy" or "the boy who looks like a girl" and i don't know how to feel about that cause... I mean i guess im passing.. Kinda...? Idk. Anyways, im in 8th grade (idk what "year" it would be because thats not how i calculate)
I’m so happy that your dad took it well !! :D
you kinda look like micheal cera in scott pilgrim vs the world. cool video also and awesome mcr shirt i have the same one :D
TYYY!!!!!
i asked the teacher to change my pronouns on the system and they emailed my parents for some reason?? im out and they're chill but why do that
LITTERALLY WHATS THE POINTTTT they could be putting so many kids in literal life threatening situations because of a preferred name or how what pronouns they use
IKR? LIKE WHY. WHYYY AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
@_W0rm_F00d_real also is your name a cavetown reference? (worm food)
@@atlasucks4my user is a cavetown reffenece but I didn’t even mean to make it one 😭😭
why do you care changing you pronouns on the system? it's literally doing nothing 💀
I'm in freshman (9th grade, age 14-15) and am partially out. I've never used my chosen name and have done nothing more than drop hints to teachers. My friends all use he/him for me, and some teachers avoid pronouns. I'd say I'm only explicitly out to my PE teacher, and she allows me to use the guy's locker room as long as I don't get in any trouble. Luckily, most of the guys are super chill and don't care at all. Some are confused, and there are a couple who hate me. I just have too much social anxiety to officially come out this year, especially after teachers got used to my deadname. So, I'm planning to come out next year and arrange things over summer break and I'll have completely new teachers. My mom already knows but my siblings don't. I'm just in a very VERY awkward position. It's so weird. I don't really get dysphoric from my full deadname, but when it's shortened I hate it. But, I prefer Milo and Miles. I'm just too anxious to tell anyone.
@@Milo-hp9fw I totally get you, I was in the same position a while back I definitely think that coming out over the summer is a really good idea!! It’s also really cool how you get to use the guys locker room and if they’re mostly chill about it then there’s a chance it’ll be okay when you come out! I hope it goes well for you!!
Hey! My names Milo too and I’m literally in the exact same situation as you. Great idea to deal with it over the summer. Hope it all goes well and works out in the end!❤
I’ve only come out this year in year 11 and it’s still worth it
@Sumautisticguy I’m so glad !! I just think for me tbh I wouldn’t if I didn’t have long left but I don’t recommended it because it would just suck lmao
@_W0rm_F00d_ honestly it does with people asking me stupid questions and I get bullied for being autistic anyway and most of those people seem to have been expelled I just wanted to make this year just a tiny bit less painful
Also just a heads up when you take exams you have to put your legal name on the paper which has gotten very confusing with my papers being given back and my teachers not knowing who they are giving my paper to
@Sumautisticguy bro what the helllll I don’t wanna be doing that 😭😭 thanks for the warning though lmao
There is also a lot of other things to add that could probably have another whole video made out of it
This video was really helpful! I have a question: if i try to transition in school, do you think my parents would find out? i tried coming out to them once already, but they didn't accept me for it :(
@Asher-99200 there’s a really high chance that they will tell your parents, but it helps to look up the safeguarding policies maybe? It’s always better to be safe
Look up school and district policy. If you live in the US, look up your state's policies. Maybe ask other trans kids at your school that have come out (if you can) Good luck!

Hello!! i’ve come from ur most recent vid, the tips for surviving skl one and i’m js wondering if you’ve found ɒ way for questions and comments since they’ve got turned off? loved the vid btw!! :D
@@BananaBoy570 you can ask any questions here!! The comments keep turning of and it’s so annoying 😭😭
@ thx!! context: i’m ɒ y8 and outed to my parents accidentally but they still call me my deadname and fem stuff, do you have any advice on coming out to them properly and asking them to change my name with the skl and get ɒ binder and things?
@@BananaBoy570the best thing I can suggest really is just talking to them about what name you prefer and how it makes you feel but if you don’t feel comfortable with that you can message them!! It might take a little while For them to get used to new names and pronouns and hopefully they’ll be supportive ! I know some parents don’t agree with binders due to safety reasons (yours might idk) but if that’s the case you can show them links and articles about how it IS safe and how it could make you feel a lot better about yourself And with changing your name at school that’s probably another thing you’d have to have a discussion about, especially if you’ve just proposed your new name and they might want to “wait and see if you grow out of it” or whatever (maybe they won’t lmao) I really hope it goes well!! I hope everyone’s gonna be okay with it ! You can always ask questions and I’ll probably know some kind of answer !! :D
