The chicano style king 👑❤
I miss that comaradorer
Piercer wow.
Shit looks alright but idk 100k is nuts
No way over charged for the story 🙌
I myself am a multigenerational proud Chicano. I always say, my family didn’t cross the border, the border crossed us. We’ve lived the Culture from its Origins & contributed to this country in every way imaginable as Americans, but our Culture always came first. Was never easy, because to outsiders we’ll never properly be understood from how we dress, talk, LOWRIDE & the list goes on, but we embrace the opportunity to educate people. I loved this interview!✊🏼
Thank you for your comment sharing some of your story. Really glad you enjoyed the interview🙌
You people make me ashamed to be a Mexican. No Class
Mexican tattoo history changed the country.
My back tattoo is a set of Gargoyle wings modeled after the gargoyle from Hero Quest.
you have a beautiful body suit...
omg....the music when Shige was revealed was epic man....
Bro this is cool but why don’t you do a broader range of tatted up people? Not all of us can afford a celebrity artist but some of us are covered in tattoos with deep meanings. And my artist started tattooing in prison when he got locked up at 16 for over a decade. When he got out, tattooing gave him his entire life so it wasn’t filled with gang banging shit
If you go check out some of the other tattoo tours you’ll find a range of people with different tattoo journeys. We are only five episodes deep right now, but the plan has always been to show a range of people🤙
Orale home boy Simon
Beautiful, beautiful job with a wonderful meaning. I love it.
Amazing tattoos
I mean with the cost of traveling idk how that could be so expensive but also cool story
Body of museum art
100k u got robbed
Worth every penny…
Awesome vid
Thank you!🙌
$500 consultation -_-
This kinda videos are really needed 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
🙌
Great video, and Shige's work is phenomenal. Amazing body suit, many people don't appreciate how difficult it is to do work that flows with the body so well
Shige is an OG
Great story and video. I'm glad I found your channel when it is in its begining because I'm pretty sure with this kind of quality its gonna blow up soon. Thank you for your amazing work ❤
Thank you for your kind words and support🙌🤙
My guy looks like a Japanese Elon musk
I don’t have any tats, but I think this is cool AF, and I think they look great on people. I just never had the hankering for it.
So he said 8-10 hour sessions, 4 sessions a trip, 2+ trips a year for 7+ years. By my math, that's realistically over 500 tattoo hours! Is that right? How long do Japanese bodysuits typically take?
This guy has the same sort of plan as me in terms of being pretty covered but in a way that in most clothes the average person doesn't know. I love that shit
ripped off
The problem is folks keep calling their trade “the industry” this is a lifestyle choice not some corporate job. . . We get it a bunch of tattooers have sold their craft for the bottom dollar but, there’s a lot of ppl out there that feel very differently about this trade. There’s no such thing as the tattoo industry bc this is a tattoo culture. C/S
Such a great guy , almost all of my tattoos were done by Nick in LA in Hollywood and Harbor City. And the great Mark Landis as well as Nick Rodin and Freddy Negrete. Charlie was around sometimes and was so nice. Having drinks with Charlie, Mick and Jack Rudy with Mark all in the same room was always a great memory ❤
That was a good story. Anyone is welcome in my shop.
hahaha why is he annoying?
what a good contentful video
Shige’s still is very difficult to read. Not my style but he is popular however not a very traditional Japanese artist.
Dope channel good interview badass artist I fuck with the series
🫡
This video is amazing. If anyone loves Shige but doesn't want to travel internationally, I'd recommend you to check out Jeff Gogue! They are friends and you can see that Shige greatly inspired Gogue.
so sick
People say " uhhh what u gonna look like when your old and wrinkly " my answer " Cool AF" everyone gets old and wrinkly lol
I’m so happy for this guy worked so hard. Then got some of the coolest tattoos ever
More Japanese style tattoos coverage please!
Props to the editor on this video, the music and added photos are really nice!
This body suit is insane, the investment was worth it
$100,000 tattoo on an unfit frame is a waste of
id be a waste to cover up a ripped bod with tatts
The other issue that I have with his tattoos, especially in his torso and his arms there’s just too much going on to the point that it looks messy and you have to be like up close in person to really determine what you’re looking at and that’s my biggest issue with his tattoos is that instead of making likea solid image here and there he put so much work around it that he kind of gets lost
People need to realize when it comes to the price point is that every tattoo artist charges differently there’s no price for tattoos you can go to a regular tattoo artist and if you want a butterfly, you might charge you 100 bucks or 150 but if you go to world famous award-winning artist $5000 for that same butterfly just because of the fame And what people need to realize about this guy’s tattoos this is the style that you want people always want to see like hyper, realistic, tattoos, or whatever but this is what he wanted could have gone better work yes, he could
Beautiful suit
