When you realize your city has been hit by an EF4 before. We were sheltered in an apartment. thankfully all the tornadoes from that day stay the hell away from us. I think this is like the 2nd tornado that touched down here that day

My wife and I stood on our front porch in Old Fort and watched this tornado above the tree tops. She said is that a tornado. I said yes. The next day we found out that it had come within 150' of my sister's house and did all kinds of damage to trees but just minor damage to her house.

Really sad that Cleveland got hit again once on April 3, 1974 by an F3 and April 27, 2011 by an EF4.

I remember this tornado literally hopped over my house. There was unspeakable damage from half a mile in front and half a mile in back of my house. Will never forget that night huddled in the hallway.

Amazing how the supersonic over pressure sucked that plate off their heads in an instant. Consider the "cylops" like clear window in the vapor cloud above the grain elevator in the Beirut blast recently. Same effect here above the Hescos.

My friends 8 month old little brother and her aunt died in this tornado

We lost friends that night and 2 giant trees on our house . One tore the front off. But I also remember the police coming to 'check' and standing at our back door. My tied up dog was barking at them more than 20 feet away and one cop said he'd shoot my dog if he got lose. Asshole.

This still brings me so much fear, the amount of damage done to our roads was unbelievable. There was a house off of Dalton Pike that was completely obliterated, still unsure if they were safe or not.

I almost died in this tornado. I was 5 and at my grandparents house near Michigan Avenue. The tornado knocked multiple trees inside our house scariest day of my life

Come dinnertime that day, my best friend was at the Cici's in Cleveland and they shoved everyone in the back where the arcade room is. She had never seen winds and darkness like that before. I can't imagine what she went through. I was in Athens and away from all the devastation.

The cop showed up to arrest the tornado for disturbing the peace..

Dang my dad he was dispatching the tornado and hit our house almost my papaw ran as fast as sonic to get in :(

This tornado was similar to the Rowlett Tx tornado Christmas of 2015. THat one too was at night and was only lit by powerlines and lightning. I live in NW Houston (Cypress,TX) and the only tornado we had was a fast mover during Harvey which went past our apartment. I feel for yall when it comes to the scariness of tornadoes.

Its amazing those guys can tolerate such a large concussive force. That would rattle most people being that close to an explosion like that.

Tornadoes at night are a nightmare to begin with, not knowing where’s it’s going.

I️ remember this, I️ was right in the middle of it, In kindergarden, Right before it started my dad picked me up. That’s was my elementary school, A big tree got knocked down but we where ok.

What Time Did This Tornado Happen At Night Was It 9:00PM 10:00PM 11:00PM Or 12:00AM Thursday?
