Put a piece of copper in your blue solution after you filter the gold… it will drop out your silver… then add iron and drop out the copper

With great respect to you sir, I would like to help you by telling you the following. The jewelry was what is called VERMEIL, (gold plated sterling silver). The nitric acid treatments attack the sterling silver. (STERLING silver is 925 parts per thousand pure silver, the rest is COPPER and sometimes a tiny bit of nickle. So, folks would generally precipitate out the copper with a bit of iron, neutralize the iron nitrate with sodium bicarbonate or similar, and dilute down with plenty of water. Filter off the copper solids and discard the harmless liquid. Regarding the gold flake, it will still only be the same purity it originally was, 10k etc....and requires refining

Ps, it's worth understanding that there are x2 types of gold, placer and lode. Lode is in matrix and may be found high up.....whereas by definition, placer will be at the lowest point. Placer doesn't have to be found on bedrock, it's commonly found in the first few inches of clays sitting ontop the bedrock.

Thanx. Pretty sure religion doesn't apply? With great amature respect, brown stones are clearly iron oxide. It's proven repeatedly beyond any doubt, gold IS associated with both iron and chlorides. Lastly, EVENTHOUGH it's preferable to crush ores of quartz that include obvious injection faults, it's important to realize that gold can and does appear seperately and by itself embedded in quartz, wherever you find it injected in seams also.
