Second edition of the British Open Series 2024, June in Scotland. Apparently reasonable / good weather allowed to have three flying days at Bishops Hill, Glencoe and Strathyre. Second day I spent hiking on and around Ben Vorlich as the weather was not suitable for hang gliding. Decent weather so a few pilots came to the Dyke. Wind quite strong and too westerly to go to Truleigh. Conditions did not developed as expected. Matt rushed to the last proper thermal on the day, I followed a bit late. The rest of the guys picked up some good lift later on. Richard landed at the paragliding landing field near Venta del Rayo (with the coffe shop near by). the rest of us landed on the pimple on the other side of the bridges. Went to Andalucia for hang gliding trip organised by Airsports Sussex. This was a great day despite being quite windy. Jabalcon near town of Zujar is a special place - lone mountain with a colony of griffon vultures. It supposed to be the competition day for BOS 3 (British Open Series). It ended up with deteriorating conditions and some rain. After waiting most of the day we had a chance for a brief ridge soar. Light wind attracted some paragliders which turned the flight into a collision avoidance practice.

Moderate and infrequent thermals as for August. Wind quite westerly so only smal streach of the ridge working. Nice, relaxing flight with a bit of rush at the end to escape the rain. Soundtrack composed performed and recorded by the pilot.

BOS 2 (British Open Series 2) Task 1 (and only - due to the weather). Nobody reached the goal and with over 22 km from the start I flew the farthest towards the goal and won the Sport Class. Great thanks to all who helped me on the launch, retrieved me back to my car and first of all to the friendly farmers who helped me when I landed in their crops. Sountrack by myself. Too windy inland for the British Open Series competition so a bunch of pilots went to Rhossili on the South-West coast of Wales to fly in the smooth ocean air. Thaks Tim, Richard and Nick for holding me back until the wind became reasonably strong. Soundtrack by the author and pilot.

Launched with a help from my friends on a windy Macher. South Easterly wind brought the dust from Sahara. Quite a rough air with occasional thermals (one arrived when I was just landing ;) ) - not many pilots decided to fly. Soundtrack by the pilot and author of the video. My first proper flight at Mala after 3 min. lesson learnt a day before. Good day so about 30 gliders roaming around. Reached abt. 2500 ft AMSL, flight duration 3h 28min.
